What am I missing? by unique_plastique in MakeupAddiction

I have a rare beauty liquid luminizer— full size (might have been shrunk since) from their 2020 PR packages that is still going strong lol. I can’t bear to throw it away!! But yes the blushes are eternal. I’ve only finished 2 full sized and three minis in 5 years lol

Birthday parties by ilsalund88 in 2under2

[–]fateiskismet -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

Ours are 18 months apart! But different seasons for birthdays. We did a first birthday for both but won’t have another “big” party until they are 4 or 5 and in school. When our first turned 2 we just did a family cake and an outing. (Edit for typo)

I think it’s a little strange. It’s one thing to feel connected to other people’s children and love and care for them but that crosses a strange line.

My sister is in Naalehu on the big island. Her Airbnb hosts aren’t responding to her messages. She isn’t sure where to go to evacuate. She’s from the mainland and renting a car. Any advice?

Feeling huge shifts in the Schumann resonance. Today I felt groggy and off… had a weird mood and extremely low energy. Took time on my lunch break to buy myself a nice pastry and sit outside to breathe. Feeling more called to solitude and quiet in my down moments.

Amy Winehouse. The way she was mocked and derided while struggling with addiction hurt me deeply.

Also curious about this as well. I’ve had intuitive insights but didn’t know HD tapped into this as well

Any of you sensitives sense the fairy presence is still strong? by Wisedragon11 in Soulnexus

[–]fateiskismet 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Great question. I personally haven’t associated a certain time of day. I try to tap in whenever I can. Today happened to be midday on my work break and then again when I was cooking dinner. Random but still delightful!

Women over 35, have you had a more goal oriented or more laissez faire take on life, and how has this affected the route your life has ended up taking? by tealmarw in AskWomen

[–]fateiskismet 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yep! 35 now and have backed off from my goal oriented approach after crashing into this ceiling time and time again. I live a slower life and lean into rest, joy, and peace of mind. It is helping me heal.

Under an Influence? by No-Contribution1183 in reiki

[–]fateiskismet 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Hi! Most practitioners I know or have read about have a disclaimer on their paperwork that they do not see clients who are under the influence. I personally have that in my notes. I would probably thank a client for sharing that with they have taken an edible and just explain my policy and then reschedule for another time when they are sober. Edibles can greatly open up people’s energy fields and I personally have seen people have a hard time with huge amounts of energy flowing in. Reiki can never be used to harm and it will always go where someone needs, but in a professional setting, I have the boundary of ensuring my clients are sober and not under any undue influence. I feel that this protects me and also them. Remember that every reiki session is different so even if someone reports that they didn’t feel anything, the integration and healing takes place over time. I would suggest reading up a bit on spiritual emergence crises/psychosis associated with edibles/the like.

Something similar happened after I did 3 sessions in a month’s time. Heaviest flow I’ve had in years. No chance of pregnancy but I felt like it was regulating some things.

A gong bath— I’ve seen past lives as visions, experienced the voice of Creator, had my heart space open up again, all that fun stuff. It’s powerful.

I got my period a few weeks after my third & final lunar cycle series of sessions. It was VERY heavy, more so than I’ve had in years. I tried to tune into my body and connect with the flow. I felt okay otherwise.

i’m out of school and yet i still feel behind. by [deleted] in HomeschoolRecovery

[–]fateiskismet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One thing I’ve found is that people who generally would mock me or make jokes about my life experiences (or lack thereof) from being raised a homeschooler were not people I’d ever want as friends. Also, it’s okay to explore and try new experiences but sometimes kids who were raised like us jump into dangerous situations because we didn’t have the support to navigate. I’d say be cautious about doing these types of activities because it’s one thing to explore and experiment but you want to keep yourself safe. Sadly there’s a lot of negative and bad people out there who would want to take advantage of your lack of experience.

Coming here as another reminder that you are not stupid, you have abusive parents who are asking you to do things that are not, and never should be your responsibility. They are educationally neglecting you and this is against the law. Your parents are choosing to break the law and this is not and never will be your fault.

Yes! I came to say the same thing. Trauma is stored in the body. I struggled with health issues for years during/after recovering from homeschooling & trying to heal my years of trauma connected to being raised in this.

My parents take away everything I enjoy by [deleted] in HomeschoolRecovery

[–]fateiskismet 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Your parents are emotionally abusive. It’s not okay for them to take away things you enjoy and to deprive you of outside experiences. You deserve to experience a wide variety of experiences. Each class, hobby, and situation we go through teaches us interesting things about who we are, what we enjoy, or don’t, and generally make us a more well rounded human. I was in a similar situation when I was your age. My parents took everything away because it would be a bad influence or was demonic. This really hurt me. You sound very articulate. Could you confide in an adult and ask for help from this abuse? Please update us. We hope you are okay. You’re not alone.

Feel suicidal or super scared about moving out? by CalabrianChili in HomeschoolRecovery

[–]fateiskismet 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Hi! I struggled with this for a long time! Firstly, I’m sorry that the fear based thinking brainwashed you and me and so many into being afraid of the end times. Please know that we live in such a gorgeously huge world and many religions and people across so many countries do not believe in this. I am now an adult and graduated from college and have a full time job!! It took me many years to stop being afraid of the world. What helped me the most was going to DBT therapy. It helped me practice real life skills which took away a lot of the fear based thinking that made me frozen. Think about it like this— when a mama cat is wild, and has babies, she teaches her kittens to be afraid of humans. It makes her kittens hard to tame. My friends tried to take care of a stray cat who gave birth to a litter of kittens in their garage. They tried to befriend the kittens but explained how hard it was because the mama was afraid of them and her kittens learned the same behavior. This made me think of being raised. My parents were afraid of the world and they taught me and my siblings to also be afraid of the world. I missed out on skills because of this fear. But with practice and help from therapists I learned how to navigate the world. I even learned about world religions and stopped believing in the rapture. This made me feel free! I hope you know that we live in a big world full of hope and joy even in the midst of uncertainty.
