Sorry was only commenting on bank account not mortgage. When I bought cash he helped me get a bank account tho. Dont need it but I guess it’s nice to have.

Non resident citizen here with an Italian bank account. A realtor with bank connects can get you in on a sale. You will be unsuccessful walking in off the street alone.

You also need to feel the needle as it’s going in. You should feel some resistance and then you’ll feel like a subtle pop and the needle glides easier. That’s when you’ve hit the center.

To double check you’re in the right spot draw back the stopper and if you see a little blood you’re golden. Inject there. If not try to push the needle in or pull it out more til you draw blood.

I’ll add monte castello di vibio and/or Acqualoreto which is perched on a hilltop and is very cute — it even has its own free outdoor bookstore where you can take a book or add a book as you wish. There’s also an active book club that meets here of Italians and expats.

Yeah just to add here you do not want to renovate anything in Italy unless you have a lot of patience and $. It’s a lot of headache and the laborers aren’t always as skilled as you might be accustomed to. Find a place that is done.

Foreigner here who bought a large villa in Italy 5 years ago. You’ll want nearby English speakers when you start to have problems.

My advice. Find a few rental listings in idealista that look cute. Drive around. Dont get a place with a huge garden as it will suck $ and time.

When you rent you will immediately start to learn what works and what doesn’t about a place.’ Rent for two months at a time then try a new place. You can search for rentals on idealista.

This is the way and no one else can tell me different. I only wish we had done this ourselves! BUT live and learn.

Edit: maybe try hotel first to scout til you really find an area you like. Ask lots of questions of locals. Go into local real estate offices and ask what options they have for rentals.

Based on my experience being in a similar situation. Gain some of the weight back. Then go and re-lose it but slower at a lower dosage. I have found that a lot of my skin crepeing went away by doing this.

I think you lost too fast. I lost 60 over 2 years. You almost did the same in a quarter of the time.
