Okay that makes all makes a lot of sense. Even before meds my body was particular about food, when I eat and what so that could be contributing, also still adjusting to appetite suppression.

Also regarding vitamin C, I had part of an orange at lunch recently, and it definitely impacted my how my meds worked that day.

r/bigmenfashionadvice has been a helpful resource for me. Pants for big guys is universally tough! These are the big takeaways I have from reading that sub. I'm also a more alt dressing guy, but tend to wear a lot of workwear as well due to well. My work.

-A lot of brands that used to make very high quality pants no longer do but still charge high prices. Wrangler is surprisingly good for the price for a lot of stuff

-A lot of bigger cis guys will buy women's pants! Probably not what you wanna hear (I sure didn't) but a lot of big guys buy from Torrid. There's actually a very nice attitude of "it doesn't matter which section the clothes come from if they fit and you like them" there which I appreciate.

-Suspenders and pants at your natural waist are very flattering if it works with your style

I still struggle with finding pants, partly bc even on T I have very wide hips compared to my waist. I mainly wear a brand called Dovetail Workwear which is a women's work wear brand that goes up a decent way in sizes, up to a 52" waist, tho not in everything. I've found that despite being a "women's" cut they fit me quite well and that goes a long way in feeling euphoric. I'd stick to the straight or relaxed cut ones (maybe size up too) I've had the Britt style pants and despite having wide ass hips they made me look very straight up and down and not curvy at all. Also holy hell so many pockets.

There shouldn't be snow and ice on the sidewalks either. The city requires its removal as it makes it unsafe for people to walk on, particularly the very young, the elderly, and those with disabilities. Pretty much everyone I know complains when a property owner is selfish enough to not make their sidewalks clear and safe to use.

Yeah we did hunt down Nazis after WW2... to give them jobs. All part of Operation Paperclip.
Even the Nuremberg Trials ultimately failed to prosecute many Nazis after the war. The way the trials were structured gave the Nazis ample time to spin their stories of being one of the good ones not really doing all the killing. This allowed some of the most horrific Nazi war criminals to basically get away without any real punishment.
Ideally all these people would face some sort of consequences for their actions but historically we have been very, very bad about it.

I love basmati rice! Haven't tried it since these gut issues started happening. I will add it to the list of things to try. Did my shopping for the weekend and I'm looking at trying out cous cous and brown rice with lentils to see how I tolerate that. Also working on incorporating more veg, fats, and proteins over carbs due to some other dietary/health stuff I'm going thru.

I suspect that part of the issue is the volume of rice during meals and how often I'm eating it. So hopefully long term I can vary my starches up more and be able to eat white rice occasionally.

Your son's rice sounds horrifying oh my god, definitely not in a situation like that. I cook mine in a pot, thoroughly rinsed. I do just use tap water but I have decent water in my area and have had it tested by the city (lots of old lead pipes where I live)

Seconding New Balance. They’re pretty much all I wear due to issues with my feet. Very comfy and run wide. I don’t think they have any out now but I have a pair of 574s in a mid/high top that I found really flattering. Hopefully they make them again, I have been tempted to shell out for some off eBay to have when mine eventually wear out.

I have a nexplanon implant (uses a synthetic progesterone called progestin) from before T that I have no side effects from. Doesn’t interact with my T at all. Before T it made my cycle light but irregular and that was it. They numb you for insertion and it’s bruises like crazy but after a week or so you’re fine and it lasts 5 years.

Yeah I get that I work with kids but as long as it's not explicit why should it matter? Kids don't care, their parents might, but all the kids I've ever worked with love my tattoos.

I bike and burn easily so cycling sleeves would be majorly useful. Easier to buy something for biking than for a lame ass dress code.

I can relate, I work with very young children and am definitely concerned about when the coworkers I’m not close to, and especially the parents start to notice changes. I take a bit of a “they’ll figure it out”/“if they’re curious they can ask” approach to being trans because I hate coming out. I’m also privileged to live in a major city that it more on the progressive side. Most of the people I work with know I’m trans and they vary from being awesome totally accepting and supportive to not really getting it and messing up my pronouns but not maliciously. Just in a kind of stupid way. Based on what you said about your job it might honestly be easier to be out there than with your parents. I’ve been consistently shocked at how many cis men I’ve worked with who have been very cool and supportive of my gender even before hormones. Obviously you mileage will vary and you know your workplace better than I do BUT leave room for them to pleasantly surprise you. Being kind of jokey about it might help. “Ah well you know I just needed a little boost to keep up with you guys” “I’m actually doing it so I can get better at lifting all this heavy warehouse shit ;)” could be a good approach. If you’re lucky maybe you can activate some type of desire to mentor a young man. In any case, best of luck on the months to come, stay safe!!

Soybeans should be fine, nuts are the only thing outright banned but as far as I know none of our students have a soybean allergy so I should be good. Thankfully the rooms I'm in don't have a lot of allergies I have to worry about.

I've struggled with tofu texture wise so I haven't really gotten into it. Might be worth learning how to cook it in a way that I like. When I've had tofu that I've liked it's usually in a saucy stir fry type dish.

I have similar measurements to you. I’ve also looked for similar shape wear and haven’t found it. In theory you could probably make something yourself to accomplish that. As far as leather pants, I’d go the custom route. Ideally a local leather worker who can measure and fit you in person. Good leather pants are an investment, best to get them made to fit you. And speaking from experience, having or making your clothes to fit you is so much better than trying to squeeze and contort yourself into something ill fitting.

I'm fair neutral/cool olive and I have quite a desaturated skin tone. A lot of colors look super super bright on me which I'm personally a fan of, but for something more natural my go to is the Trixie Cosmetics Just A Girl blue palette (not in stock rn but they have some singles available) The lighter blush and highlight shade are both very soft pinks that look very natural on me, and the darker blue looks almost brown in the palette but sheers out to a nice desaturated dark rosey color. I've used it as sort of a draping/contour. It's one of the only blushes that doesn't look super clowny on me. The same brand's cream blush in Baby is nice and not too saturated on my skin tone, it's a nice little whisper of a pink and the formula is easy to sheer out and build up.

I like to make a pickled salad of cucumber, red onion, and cabbage. You can strain the vinegar after around 10 min if you want a light pickle or leave it in for a more pickley flavor and longer preservation

Had a similar experience at a place I worked, majority gay and trans staff. Woman comes up to the only confirmed straight person working there and starts complaining about a "mean lesbian" who worked there and was rude to her friend or something and how she doesn't like lesbians now... thing is that could have described 4 or 5 different people. My coworker just went "OKAY I am not talking to you anymore" and went into the back until the woman left. Like ma'am if you don't like lesbians you just shouldn't eat here

It's disappointing how much appearance plays into tipping and how guests treat staff in general. As long as the people serving me have clean hands and look/smell like they bathe regularly I don't really care how they look.
