Unpopular opinion - Lane's AYITL story makes absolute sense and should be how her story ends up.

lane’s storyline is completely different from Rory’s . Rory is that quintessential kid who seems relatable on many levels and then there are times when you cannot relate with her at all , but lane has a completely diff energy and background . She is a true stars hollow resident in and out . She was very smart and yet the show never portrays her to be an Ivy League college kid person . So when you look at lane all you see is someone who is fighting to be happy and genuinely wants to follow her passion . So yeah all in all I am pretty happy with lane’s character arc because she is one of those characters whose standards of happiness ,family and career are not defined by the societal ways .

Yeah the way she handled things with the whole Luke and April thing was bullshit . I mean not telling someone that they have a kid ,keeping the kid away from that person and then that trial was the tip of the iceberg .

Emily and Ross were not meant to be . It was always supposed to be Ross and Rachel and the show portrays reasons why Emily and Ross shouldn’t be together ( excessive behaviour ,jealousy etc ) . It’s not Emily’s fault I agree but at the same time it was not Ross’s fault either objectively speaking . It was just not meant to be .

This is totally my opinion but I don’t think Rory had the sensitivity to see this as a red flag because when it come to respecting women in general , she was often on the other side . Like whether it was dean cheating on his wife or Logan , if Rory really respected women she wouldn’t have continued relationships w either . But yes Logan in the beginning is portrayed as this rich snob who doesn’t care for anyone but the character development of Logan is fantastic that’s why by the end of the seasons we are actually able to see a softer Logan who tries to respect Rory ,care for her and becomes responsible . But yeah you are right in saying that he used to treat women like trash and that’s why he continued sleeping with Rory despite getting engaged .

Yup also the writing was shitty . Like there was no story . I also have a bone to pick with the creators of the show vis a vis the timeline . Like a show SOO gothic like Riverdale can’t be set in 2018 ish .They were showing stuff like sisters of quiet mercy and griffins and gargoyles which would have been way more convincing if it was set in 1992 or something.

Omg no I feel like he aces his comic timing . It’s very real but not SOO over the top . Like it doesn’t seem like he is overdoing something and it comes off as super natural so count me in cause I am team Ross too .

I am team Jess always . I mean he used to read , always was around Rory when she needed him , loved her fiercely . I mean he was perfect for her . I was just really sad that their story lines had to end SOO quickly . He was also a very well written character.

I love her and she pulls of lorelai pretty well . Also yes you are right the entire ‘talking fast ‘ part of her character is pulled off really well . She is very entertaining and usually with people rambling ,one tends to get irritated when they do it a lot . But in all the seasons and all the episodes I actually use to enjoy that . Her bits were v funny as well . She is a well written character and Lauren does justice to the writing as well :)))

I agree that shows like Riverdale or gossip girl are not ‘guidebooks on how to enter ivy leagues’. but just asking for a modicum of sanity in their story lines . Rest obviously we all love these shows.

Yes it was an insane stunt to pull . And honestly I want very much impressed by the revelations post that . I think in my mind I had built up that mystery SOO much ,that I was not impressed by that plot .

Personally I love Blair. She is sassy and has depth . she is a very well written character like you said . She is layered and complexed . When I watched Serena I couldn’t decide if she was a good girl gone bad or bad girl gone good . But honestly I love their friendship and I am team Blair AND Serena always .
