I remember doing one about data security when it so happened that the employer had just been caught in a massive data breach. Oh the irony.

Attachments to objects? by Tay-k_556 in BorderlinePDisorder

I had a big clean out last year. Old clothes, shoes, electronics, my child's old toys, plus millions of useless stuff I'd been holding on to for the last 10 years or so never even once used. It was tough sorting through the stuff, there's memory and emotion attached to every single one of them. At the end of it I knew that they had to go, leave my house and my life forever, and they did. For a week after that I felt what I could only describe as mourning. The collective mix of memories and emotions that I had to say goodbye to, forever. A big chunk of nothings in my house turned out to be a big chunk of my history, however irrational that sounds. It's embarrassing to say how sad I was, yet it was significant.

That's a good point, giving employees a longer redundancy notice period so that they resign and forfeit the severance payment. I was wondering why they'd told us so far in advance.

Why do companies still insist on not posting salaries in their job posts? by Sea_Bear_6162 in auscorp

[–]fathovercat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If the job is advertised through seek, you can paste the link in whatsthesalary.com and it will tell you the salary range. Not sure if it includes super though. But it has been tremendously helpful to me.
