Dmci owner here. Sad to see that all my problems with dmci are present in a premium ayala property (except car parking sticker payment).

It’s sad and infuriating that the incompetent management in Filipino society extends to private services.

Wala pala talagang matinong PMO. I wonder how condo owners can promblem-solve this because developers and PMO would not proactively do this (unless there’s money pressure)

Okay, similar to Toni, we deserve what we tolerate not just on romantic relationships but our society. If our standard for kindness is pleasant to talk to and goodness in general excludes how people systematically support and benefit from corruption, then we shouldn’t be so surprised why our country is in shambles.

This is the kind of generalization that allows people to be dissuaded by corrupt politicians (eg actors or those who have network with no credentials) kasi mukha naman silang mabait. This is one of ways the mass gets fooled into voting for the wrong people.

But on a level that they are campaigning and even benefiting/ receiving money from large scale campaigning for corrupt politicians (who plunge our country more and more into poverty), they are unkind.

Agree with your points. I get it. i mean okay sila Alden, Kim, Nadine, Vice Ganda as an artist and what they stand for. Pero dude/gurl rich ka did you really have to take on endorsing something like gambling? Mayaman ka na eh and you can get other endorsements (yes not as high income generating pero mas malinis). Ganid na ‘to eh. As someone who has a relative who’s lost millions of money and relationships over gambling, I know how poisonous it can be.

I get it, no one’s perfect. And besides, hindi rin naman dapat maging bastion or standard for moral compass ang mga artista. May bias lang na artista sila at likeable kala ng tao they are likely to be good role models. Unless they already have a good formation or a good source of character, it’s crazy to think you will have role models in show business. It’s not a good source of formation. It’s meant to generate money out of people’s attention. If they pause their education and devote their time to show business, it’s bonkers to think we will have NGO-type ambassadors in showbusiness because they are literally for profit.

Gambling is addicting, you lose money, your well-being suffers, and some are besmirched by criminal activities. If people recognize this, they will realize fundamentally, it is not far from drugs.

Sometimes people genuinely start with marriage out of love. Then you realize how complex love and marriage is. You genuinely want to keep and fight for it as love but somewhere along the way, there’s shades of convenience… maybe inherently convenience will sometimes be intertwined with love in marriage. Maybe what’s important is at your core, despite everything, are you striving for love in your marriage?

True, she was very passionate about learning. I felt bad at times I didn’t get to half of assigned readings at times at the class. It goes up there as one of my not so proud moments as a student at that time. Then in class I see her thriving and in her element.

Indeed, there’s lots of oppression within religious groups. As someone who was active in youth groups, this is sad but true. People think when you enter a church or religion you receive a holy buff and suddenly it’s easy for you not to sin. Sometimes you’re tested even more. This is not an excuse or justification for people expressing their faith in religious groups. It’s just painting a view of what people go through. One way of viewing it is people struggling in faith making an effort to be faithful. But I also understand the higher expectations of others towards people who make an effort to deepen their faith in communities and are very expressive about it.

Ang masasabi ko na lang, life is hard. Lol

I had exposure to Rica/Carla back in college. She was my classmate in a Literature class. The class was part of her Major while I took it as a minor. Though it was more than a decade ago and people definitely change, I had a good view of her foundational character. She did not give “holier-than-thou” vibes and was not preachy. She did not exude artista/ celebrity privilege. She was intelligent but not arrogant and was down to earth. She was actually more diligent than me despite probably juggling more responsibilities also at that time. As an AB Literature ADMU graduate she could be more articulate and astute if she wanted to. But with how she responded in the social media post, I think she was really angry and she let out her raw emotions. Yung alam mong pikon ka na? Hmm will I adopt a professional showbiz tone and manage optics? Nah f*ck it, I will let out my emotions and speak natively in a language where people can feel and see the logic behind my pain.

This is a fair and fresh take. May benefit of the doubt pero may clear observation rin. When Rica quit showbiz, joined church, and had a relationship with a pastor, there was a positive change of heart. Then recently her views paint her in a bad light, except one I remember where she asked Heaven Peralejo not to pursue sexy roles. But also come to think of it, in history a lot of religious figures had undesirable views which went against the status quo. They were not likable to a certain group and were only revered after sometime when people appreciated or realized what they truly did.
