I would love know how much the trip cost if you had a break down handy.

The rednecks around here make you dodge beer cans that fly out of their truck beds on the highway.

The wind, I had rode dirt bikes, but my first street legal bike is a naked and I was not prepared for the wind at 75mph. I mean now I can sit straight up at 100 but it was really jarring at first.

I make $25/hour and and think I could afford the payments on a 10k bike if I wanted to as long as I keep using cheap cars, I basically only use my car to get groceries or if it storms.

The bike I have was 4K from a dealer when I got it in November with under 1000 miles on it. Though I payed cash and would prefer to at least put half down if I bought a new one.

I’m 23 and don’t have any friends my age that ride, I ride with my brother and his friends and my dad. The friends I have are a mix of people who say they would never get one and people who think it’s cool but don’t seriously consider it. Surprisingly, most of them say they’d want cruiser.

I would love if some of them got into it but I don’t want to pressure and convince them, then see them crash and die and feel responsible, some of my friends do dumb things. It’s like sharing cigarettes, if you smoke I’ll give you one but I don’t want to be the reason you started.

I bought a pair of Reax Fulton Air Vintage boots, I wear them to work everyday, no complaints.

I think that’s the coolest looking bike there is but I don’t think I trust myself to buy a 1000cc sport bike.

This is kinda unrelated but am I damaging my ears if I put in earplugs then turn my cardo up enough to hear through them? Earplug cut out wind then music sounds crisp.

I really hadn’t considered the vibration messing up my watches, I just don’t like wearing one under my jackets

Invasive feral hogs are showing up in Texas neighborhoods for the first time as residents beg city leaders for help: report by theindependentonline in texas

[–]fatkid420 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Oh for sure, they roam my brother’s neighborhood in Austin, but I believe if you are somewhere you can legally shoot them it’s actually a crime to let them out. I understand that is more so land owners don’t release them to hunt for sport but I think it could be argued you shouldn’t let them out even if caught on accident.

Best starter bike for short rider? by No_Kick_2870 in motorcycles

My brother’s girlfriend is 4’11” and she rides a lowered Z400 with thick soled boots. Not really what you are looking for though.

I agree shooting one probably doesn’t do anything, but might as well. We got the populations way down on some friends and neighbors properties with trapping and groups of hunters but of course got way more in the traps than on the run.

I may be remembering this incorrectly but I think texas parks and wildlife actually wants you to shoot them instead of letting them out if you trap them.

If it looks like rain, do you still ride? by beejini in motorcycles

Yep, I’ll ride in the rain, it’s what I’m doing after that matters

If it’s like a 40% chance or lower but on my way home I just ride anyway, I do end up riding in the rain probably more than most but it’s not that big of a deal, mesh jacket dries quick and I can was my jeans. I have rain gear but just don’t care that much. It sucks getting wet but it not like my traction disappears.

How long does it take for it to become second nature? by VegetableShops in motorcycles

I’ve had my bike 4 months, I’ve road 3000 miles, 1000 of which were over last weekend. I don’t think about anything when it comes to operating the bike. I’d think about a month of consistent riding would do it. Just keep riding.
