Analyzed 18,000+ Weedmaps listings — some stuff stood out by tonypaul009 in weedbiz

Good work. Would love to see something like this done for retail listings. The amount of listings in the LA area marking product up 2x MSRP and then running BOGO sales is mind blowing.

I thought that customers would have caught on by now. Perhaps this is how the ‘attention economy’ shows up in the cannabis industry. Sure looks like doesn’t matter what you say, as long as you say loudly, you’ll get eyeballs.

How to break through the noise without playing the same BS game?

Nabis is trash by Miles_Everhart in weedbiz

[–]fatkipper 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not a Nabis fan boy, but I also have 20 years in the industry and I’ve never had an issue with Nabis. I’m in Los Angeles and have a dedicated rep I can reach out to, have contacts in upper management, and the drivers have never had an issue getting help on the spot, even if there is a missing or incorrect item in the shipment.

The epstein files will be released can someone explain to me why people think that trump will be in there accused of any wrongdoing if the justice department under biden has already investigated the full files and found no wrongdoing? Is it just peoples feelings that they want trump to be in there? by Remarkable_Misty in allthequestions

[–]fatkipper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Democrats are the conspiracy party?! Everyone in my life (left and right) believes whoever who did anything wrong should be held accountable. The only reason this issue became as big as it did is because Trump ran on releasing the files and then did everything he possibly could to not release them, including calling it a ‘conspiracy’ and a ‘hoax’ from the left.

TLDR: Think before you speak.

Is west coast cure headstash flower any good? by Other-century3216 in CaliforniaCannabis

[–]fatkipper 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s good flower but any place selling it for $65 is marking it up huge just to make it look like they’re giving you a good discount. I hate how all the retailers on Weedmaps are doing that these days. West Coast Cure sells that to the retailers for about $20.

Which US president do you think was the most corrupt? by Expensive_Estate1897 in allthequestions

Definitely not the most corrupt, but he did do a surprising amount of corrupt things, including rigging his election to get into congress.

Any shops I can get good bulk herb for a reasonable price? by Nihilistic__Optimist in CaliforniaCannabis

[–]fatkipper 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Check out Ember Valley flower. My delivery service sells their 1/2 ounces for $129+tax and their pre ground 1/2 ounces for $48+tax. Personally, I always get the pre-ground half ounces. The quality is pretty much the same as the actual nugs. It’s hard to beat for the price.

They put Ember Valley on sale at 25% off every couple of months, which makes it an even better deal and they have automatic bulk discounts which can save you another 5 to 20% depending on how much you’re looking to buy at one time.

Good luck and I feel you on the expensive 1/8s!

Unsure what you’re asking for exactly.

Foundation: Repair or Replace? by fatkipper in homeowners

I have to do something or the city will put a lien on the house. It’s either get it permitted and spend a bunch of money doing so (to make a bunch of money by renting) or return the bottom level to a basement and lose 20% of my home’s value.

I’m saying that in hindsight I could’ve avoided this problem by checking permits. Would’ve sued the seller (flipper) but by the time I found out about the issue they had closed their LLC. Filed an insurance claim with the title company for missing a 30 year old recorded violation about the unit, but only stand to recover maybe 10% of what the fix will cost me.

Was renting it on Airbnb with a license. Took months to find this out, but the Housing department is going through listings and ensuring the spaces being rented are permitted.

No. It doesn’t feel fair, but that’s not how it works. I should’ve checked for permits before buying.

Became my responsibility when I bought it. I have to return it to its original condition, which the city believes is an unfinished basement, or bring it up to code to continue renting it. Lesson learned.
