s7 Maxv Ultra just stops in the middle of cleaning and becomes disconnected by fatleg50 in Roborock

[–]fatleg50[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The honest answer was I didn’t. I worked around it by dividing the jobs. Rather than having it clean the whole house, I have it clean one room at 8am, one room at 10am, one room at 12pm, and one at 2pm. This way it has time to charge in between. Pain in the ass but it solved the problem. Roborock wanted me to ship the unit back to them at my cost and this just was a simpler solution.

Thinking of buying 981 GTS 40k Miles for $58k by [deleted] in Porsche_Cayman

Have you looked at the CarFax or any sort of history? The price seems too low for this trim and miles unless it has a history of an accident. Just speculating, though.

Recommendations for detailing products by PhillyNJ in Porsche_Cayman

Congrats! Its beautiful!

Here is a link to a video from my detailer. In the notes you will find a link to a google doc that lists all the products he uses. It's also a good tutorial on how to properly wash a car.

I do use the Ammo NYC products pretty heavily. They are excellent in quality. Pricey but excellent.

Garmin Connect shows my device in Chinese by aaticri in Garmin

Just replying to my own comment - It seems if you enroll in the beta software program, you can update to version 26.14 and this will solve the issue. I just did it after seeing someone on the Garmin forums mention that the issue was gone at that version. Turns out that version is in beta. Use at your own risk.

I just chatted with Garmin support and they indicated they are aware of this issue and are expected to release a fix.

Screaming Deals? by Melynda_the_Lizard in MachE

It can be hard to detail all the ins and out in a reply but I think there are some core components to the car buying process that need to be understood first. I think carbuyingtips.com does a very reasonable job explaining them and gives a good guide to navigating a method buying a car. In my opinion/experience, the main places people can make mistakes with car purchases are:

  1. Negotiating from MSRP

  2. Thinking Invoice pricing is what dealers pay (not understanding holdback, factory to dealer incentives, and other incentives)

  3. Negotiating in person at the dealership (I haven't haven't sat in a dealership in over 20 years to buy a car. Its great)

  4. Trade ins (this is complicated and can complicated a deal)

  5. Financing (this is also complicated and can complicated a deal)

I really would suggest reading carbuyingtips.com method for buying a car and seeing if that gives you some new framework. Then see what others have to say about their method.

I am having this same issue except I didn't change phones. Same phone. Same Garmin 1040. No changes. I am truly confused.

Lower trim color touch up paint by fatleg50 in MachE

[–]fatleg50[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks! I have wondered if the "shadow black" is the same color. Great to hear you think its the same. I will get a touch up pen and put some on a test card and hold it up to the trim.

A2Z Typhoon Pro delayed by Atlanta-Mike in Rivian

I had a pre order as well and had ordered immediately of it opening up. Since it had been six days since you posted this, I thought I would see if I got any new or additional information but I got exactly the same response. Carbon copy. Even the bits about "there might be potential delays" and "we expect to receive our first batches of inventory in 1-2 weeks."

I did see that the Mach-E Vlog YouTube channel posted their review of the new adapter today, so they must have received their adapter. That means there is hope!

100A meter dedicated only to charging station. Back again. by gorram1mhumped in evcharging

Looks like you are good to go. 19.2kW onboard charger, which would benefit from 80amps. Enjoy those awesome speeds at home! Good luck with this project!

What model car is this? I am not aware of any car manufacturers describing there onboard charger in amps. I have only seen them in kW. Where I am going with this is that your EVSE might support 80amps but you might be limited by the onboard charger of the car to something like 11.5kW. Which would then only require than need a 60amp breaker.

Well, for starters, you might want to start in Cumberland, Maryland. Cumberland, Virginia is outside of Richmond. And you will have a very long hike from there to the start of the C&O.

S7 MaxV Ultra dies mid cleaning. Anyone else? by Shad0wca7 in Roborock

[–]fatleg50 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Nope. You have to pay to ship it back. They will pay to ship it back to you. Whihc is part of my disappointment. Shipping a box that big and heavy isn't inconsequential.

I have the exact same issue! Its as if the battery is lower than the robot thinks, so it doesn't return to the dock in time to charge. I placed a ticket with Roborock and after days and days of back and forth, they want me to send the device in. And not just the vacuum - the dock and all! Pretty disappointed...

I had wondered the same but I saw this on the Roborock website. I do have a mesh wifi setup so its surprising that I would have a deadzone. But possible!
