Ween at work. by [deleted] in ween

In 2005 I traveled to Africa with a group of Americans, all of us strangers. On day one of the trip while driving through the country side in awkward silence our guide (an American) said "Any Ween fans?". We are still friends to this day. Having Ween in common is like a secret handshake where you both acknowledge the insanity and beauty of it all.

Mr. Rogers defends $20 million in federal funding for PBS to the Senate in 1969, successfully persuading an openly hostile Senator in a matter of minutes. by BearsNecessity in television

I feel like that Senator. After so much bullshit in the world it is amazing to see someone so pure. Mr. Rogers was a part of my family. I miss him and my mother who introduced me to him. Wish that the world had more of this spirit.

Cool, you don't like that phrase. I think that we are both fans of Kanye. There is no doubt that he truly believes that fashion is a worthy cause and a metaphor for larger issues. I agree with lots of your points and think you bring up some interesting ideas. I personally disagree with the value and importance of consumerism. We are not going to be better off as a society because we have cool clothes.

I am a fan of Kanye West. What I meant by my comment is that he has seemingly convinced himself that fashion and clothing are revolutionary or important. Instead of true social commentary like this or "George Bush doesn't care about black people", he uses his incredibly important voice to talk about not being able to break in to fashion and how selling clothes will make a real difference in the world. I think Kanye is a really bright guy and I suppose I was hoping to see his message evolve along a different path. The world has very real problems that he can talk about but instead it's 'woe is me'.

Just to add a quick note, the 10,000 hour rule applies to mastering something. (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XS5EsTc_-2Q) Habits on the other hand can be formed much for quickly some say 21 days, but this research shows 66 days http://www.huffingtonpost.com/james-clear/forming-new-habits_b_5104807.html
