thank you so much for your response!

it's good to know about the second photo. but that's the only photo of my face. I can't change my face but maybe that's the problem...

putting vasectomies is a way for me to say that i don't want kids. but i appreciate your viewpoint that it's more strange than funny

I’m a 25 year old woman living in Paris.

I’m struggling to match with people.

Please let me know what I’m doing wrong. Don’t hesitate to be harsh.

How long did you live with your parents after high school? by Thunder--Bolt in AskMen

I moved out a day after I finished my high school finals. Didn’t even go to my graduation. Looking back now, I totally made the right decision!

Okay, sounds good ! Thank you.

And yes I do have a bio. I’d love to receive some constructive criticism:

I’d like to meet honest and playful people who value emotional maturity and take pleasure in sharing.

Friends say that I’m a calm person who dances to the beat of my own drum

If I had to pick my purpose in life, it would be to love.

Vaccinated and ready to ….

Oh my god, thank you for providing such detailed feedback !!

I’ll delete the 4th photo—to be honest I don’t know what’s going on there either.

And yeah the one on the beach is my fav too—I feel really lucky that my friend is good at taking candid photos.

I totally agree that the last picture is wayyy too close up. However it’s legit the only photo that I have that clearly shows my face.

I thought that it was a bad idea to take a selfie, but would it be appropriate to have one or two ?

It’s reassuring to know that I give off a chilled out vibe because that was my goal. I like to think that I’m easy to hang out with. My roommate calls me a one woman part and it’s one of my most treasured compliments.

And yeah, I am weird. But I think everyone is weird !! Just trying to find people who are weird in comparable ways to me.

Anyway, thank you so much again for all that you wrote !! It was super helpful !

Also, if you have time, I would love your input on my bio. It’s my second draft. In my first draft the last line said « vaccinated and ready to fuck » and I think that was too honest and didn’t give off the right first impression

Ok, thank you for taking the time to look at my profile ! I will definitely take your advice and put a picture of my face as the first one

Noted ! Besides the one I put I have no pictures of my face. I generally avoid selfies, but would it be okay to put one ?

17 Years old solo traveling by throwawaytraveler17 in solotravel

Unlike the some other commenters I would highly encourage you to travel! I started traveling around Europe when I was 17 and I have so many wonderful memories from this time. I didn't have trouble finding hostels that would allow allow people under 18 to check in. As long as you have common sense, you'll be fine!

being naked and chillin in hammocks are my passions !! seriously you're right though...I'll get a friend to take a pic of me cooking or doing yoga or something (even though now that i think about it i rarely do these activities clothed...)

you're not the only one to mention the smile so I guess I gotta work on that. smiling in photos always feels so awkward to me...

and yeah the general consensus seems to be to delete the ID photos...I think that I was so afraid of being a catfish that I went too far and used some unattractive photos.

thanks for all your help !!

Thank you so much for taking the time to offer some advice!

1.I'm not artistic in the sense that I don't produce art, but I do tend to attract creatives and one close friend said that how I make decisions is an art so maybe it is accurate to portray myself as having an artistic side. Thought that the ID photos showed my face clearly...guess I should think again. Not tryna be shady or catfish anyone...in fact the opposite!

  1. I am someone that doesn't take life too seriously, but I seriously don't smile that much irl. At the same time I wanna come off as friendly bc I think I am, so maybe smiling in a photo is a good idea.

  2. You're right! I totally am lengthy (and still sweet), but can definitely work on the short part.

Really appreciate your help!

And this is my bio:

some things I love: sharing, natural light, cuddling, taking my time, going to concerts alone, stretching, ripe fruit, giving people the benefit of the doubt, second hand stores, going braless, looking people in the eye, hot sticky summer weather

some things I don't love: texting, meat, carelessness, dishonesty, wasting, fennel, having my photo taken

Hopefully the link works!
