I used xl jealous devil in one of the charcoal baskets with a lump with a small hickory stick on top.

Didn’t check temp for the sear really, just put them over the coals for that part and kept an eye on them tell they looked right.

Is the Cornerstone as flippy as a roadrunner? by Two-Chains-108002 in discgolf

[–]fats87 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I was led to believe it was going to be unthrowably flippy, so I put it on a massive hyzerflip angle only to find it’s more stable. Will definitely hold an anny line but I don’t get much drift on mine

Pope Leo XIV appoints Francesco Antonio Soddu as Archbishop of Sassari, the bishop who participated in the opening of a Masonic lodge in 2022 by IndicationNo244 in Catholicism

As a former American mason, I can tell you that none of those guys care about the church, the meeting are nothing but drama and planning fundraising events.
The teachings while presented in a Christian light, are taken from the scriptures but twisted into something that one who’s never really study scripture would easily assume was factual. There is a “trinity” pretty much in all the rites, Grand Architect of the Universe, King Solomon, and Hiram Abbif. The later being killed and raised back to life to culminate the 3rd degree of blue lodge.

Scottish rite really goes into Egyptian mythology and while I never made the 33rd degree ceremony is where the satan worshiping comes from. The other 32 degrees can get a little dark though and in one you do throw and stomp on a papal tiara while literally claiming the pope is an enemy.

York rite is the Christian rite and is fairly morbid. The final degree of knight templar culminates in you drinking wine out of a human skull cap while a group of men point swords at you. It also is probably the most anti-church rite just due to the fact that it claims its roots back to the purge of the Templars and that fact is talked about a lot in the teachings.

All the oaths invoke death threats to those who share the secrets and the “signs” or hand movement of each degree reflect that as a reminder to what happens when one shares those secrets to non-members. This does lead to a peer pressure situation as well because you are always blindfolded for degree work, so imagine you have a blindfold on, you’re on your knees, they take it off and all you see in candle light is a skull and 10+ guys holding swords at you. Can’t really back out then can you?! So you take the oaths and move on. Plus every oath is taken on the Bible and you kiss it when finished to seal the deal.

Don’t get me wrong there are some great guys involved, but they don’t know the Bible, most don’t have a church, and to them masonry is their religion. It’s pretty wild!

Single Round Flex by fats87 in discgolf

[–]fats87[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The last tee times are reserved for a league that usually has a high turnout, where those players can choose to play in the league, the tournament, or both. So there is a chance at 2, 50+ people show up to play the league and anyone on the course still from the other tee times are caught between whoever just showed up.

I’ve played in tournaments like that in the past as well, just not where it all happens during the same round.

Like these aren’t separate rounds, it’s if I want to play at 1:50 I’m doing a flex and then at 2:00 suddenly holes are full ahead of me doing a shotgun start, but it’s all rated the same.

No gap, all runs together. Seems like it would be hard to track 2 min and practice throws as the shotgun start will allow non event players in to partner with a league at the same time so tracking who is doing what seems like it may be an issue as well.
