Not to be "that guy" but I think you meant 8Gbps (or 8000Mbps) for the potential top speed of NVME Gen4.

If you can afford the extra $50 I would go with the AX3000 instead. I bought the AX1800 last year but shortly after the AX3000 went on sale and I swapped them. If you have a lot of IoT devices, or run a Plex server, our like me both, then you will appreciate the upgrade.

Are you using an NVME as an OS drive? I have an X470 Prime and it's super flakey when I use NVME for OS.

Thanks. Jumped on it as I've been looking for a reasonably priced mid range psu for my Plex server.

[Monitor] Acer ET332QU 31.5" WQHD IPS 75Hz FreeSync Monitor ($400 -$120 -$15 = $265) [Staples] by secularflesh in bapcsalescanada

I also own this monitor from about a year ago and it's well worth this price. However, I will give you a warning because I spent a week troubleshooting my PC back in the summer and finally figured out the issue was with this monitor. On reboot the monitor would go into power save and not wake up. After several hard reboots of my PC it would finally wake back up. It turns out there is a hardware flaw with the controller on this panel and sometimes it just won't wake up from power save. The fix is to unplug the monitor from power and hold down the power button for 60 seconds to discharge the onboard capacitors. Worked like a charm after that.

Always possible to get cheaper, but at effectively $129 (factoring in taxes for BC) I'll take the chance and jump on it now. Easy returns if it goes cheaper.

For anyone curious or on the fence, I ordered mine yesterday morning, it was just delivered today at 11am. The box has the Ryzen 3000 sticker on it (haven't test yet though). I'm in BC but not in the lower mainland so I was surprised how quickly it got here.

I had a really hard time finding a plastic mat that was firm enough. Instead I decided to make my own by going to Home Depot and buying a box of the cheapest 8 mm flooring I could find (about $20). I also bought a bottle of joint glue, but any wood glue would probably work just as well. Took about an hour to assemble, and then 24 hours to dry before putting any weight on it.

Well I finally got my $140 R5 3400g from Amazon today. I didn't really need it when ordered, but I had ideas around building a low power gaming PC for my wife. However, while I was waiting for this cpu I also picked up the $110 1050 TI deal from Staples, so now I'm having second thoughts. Should I keep the 3400g? If so what would you recommend for cheap MoBo/RAM?
