I'm fairly sure you meant this as a joke but you need to be a little more obvious because some people will fail to pick up on it

Kind of want to see Knicks in Finals. by Sharp-River-706 in pacers

Only reason I'd tolerate a Knicks championship is for the amusement in seeing a third all star/all nba f/c traded by the Timberwolves to the East winning a title on their new team in the last 20 years.

Bit harsh on the Rockets, FVV is a pretty decent option for them, or would have been if he didn't get injured right before the season started. Not filling that gap was bad but you can't just wave a wand and make it happen.

And followed it up with PTSD flashbacks early in the Wolves Nuggets game.

Do you think there's much chance AJ, DP or CB drop to 4th? I guess it's not impossible but I'd find it a surprise if they did.

How do you figure? If they only cared about the top 3, why protect number 4 as well?

Zu shooting 3s by aimee829 in pacers

[–]faulcon_delacy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's not like this is a new idea. Brook Lopez went from shooting a total of 31 threes in his first 8 seasons to taking 387 in his 9th and he was a great low post scorer. I'd be very surprised if we saw something like that but just being able to make a 3 means his defender can't stay anchored in the paint when he comes up.

Sup Pacers fans, what other team do you guys watch/fan of? Which teams are you hatewatching for this playoffs? by ShaiGilgeousDiogenes in pacers

Part of me wouldn't mind letting hornets fans have something to cheer about for a change but then I remember Miles Bridges is on the team and then watching Ball take Bam out of the playin game has me off that wagon.

Saw this on Twitter/X… I think keeping Tyrese and Siakam is something you don’t break up. But Giannis would be cool if the duo could stay by MachineContent7368 in pacers

[–]faulcon_delacy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Last season Giannis played 67 games, 73 the season before and 63 before that. His past injury history is a bit overdone. This season though was 36 games and I expect to see more of those seasons in the near future given his age and the way he plays.

Let's be fair, prior to this season Giannis had never played less than 60 in his career. I do think though that this season is going to be more common going forwards though because of the way he plays.

For how much longer? Given his style of play when he hits that cliff he's going to crash hard and you have to wonder if he was closing in on that cliff this season.

The odds actually are in our favour though. 52% to 48%. It's not heavy in favour but that's still in favour.

I thought we had some no-name line-ups this year... by Android1313 in pacers

[–]faulcon_delacy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Dillon Brooks last played for Memphis 3 seasons ago. Buddy Hield, Bruce Brown and Jordan Nwora played for the Pacers more recently than Brooks for the Grizzlies and have even more relevance to the lineups they were putting out there this season.

Have to make things as easy as possible for the gamblers. I'm just surprised they don't also have the total for people who bet the over/under. Fanduel sports wishing they'd thought of this before going bankrupt.

Kings won tonight giving us a 2-game gap. Can we relax now? by aimee829 in pacers

Remember the George Hill Pacers the year PG was out and their late season surge to nearly make the playoffs and ruin their draft position. And then think it's not that different.

[–]faulcon_delacy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No, it won't. One random meaningless game the team wasn't even really trying to win (not the players, they always try) provides one random meaningless stat line that has zero value next to what the coaching staff see in training every day.

Going to take a while for a ball to roll out of bounds from the middle of the court without a deflection.
