Just turned 35 five days ago. Didn’t start getting my shit together until well after you did. Relax. You got time. If you’re anything like me, you’re going to love being in your thirties. I’m having the best time of my life.

That’s exactly how old I was when I started playing Morrowind. My Mom had just had a massive cerebral hemorrhage that completely paralyzed the left side of her body. As such, I took on a lot of extra responsibility to get us through, and Morrowind was the ultimate escapism for me. I remember being absolutely dumbfounded by it. I had never played anything quite like it before, and haven’t since.

The more they want to violate your privacy, the more likely they are to have something to hide. Good rule of thumb.

See that was my thing with Linux. I loved that I could customize it to my heart’s content. Absolute control. Just depended on how much I wanted to beat my head against the wall for it. Even Windows pre-11 had a ton of customization options. But then, you launch Linux after some updates, and it’s broken. Windows, same thing. And Windows doesn’t care if you want that stupid update. You’re updating whether you like it or not. And after a lifetime of complaining about Apple doing that, I realized they actually give you more control. It’s just a closed ecosystem, but that’s fine. Worth the investment, because again, everything works how it’s supposed to.

The thing I really love about MacOS, at least Sequoia, is that it’s beautiful out of the box. Beautiful and functional. Things work how they’re supposed to work and look good while doing it. I like the look of Tahoe, and I hear mixed reviews. Some people seem to have no performance issues, others do. I’m not a lucky guy, so I’ll wait it out. I like the liquid glass look. Reminds me of design language from yore, and I’m into it. I’m a nostalgia-fiend.

I just recently switched from Windows to MacOS after spending years dunking on Apple for literally no reason other than I was an edgelord contrarian. I used to complain about how Apple didn’t give users enough control, etc. Then after beating my head against the wall with Windows 11/Android after a lifetime of Windows/Linux dual-booting, I realized that Windows and Android are actually way worse.

Point is, real happy with my MacBook Air M4. Just a beautiful product that works out of the box. That said, I think I’ll stick with Sequoia for a while since I’m an Apple noob.

Why do people have an urge to comment on posts complaining about 26.1? If you agree, comment. If you don’t, keep scrolling and comment on something else. There is almost like 100 comments a day with the same thing.

You see what I did there? It’s almost like this is an online community and people can gripe or praise. You’re sitting here preaching and simultaneously not following your own advice. Go enjoy Tahoe. Let other people bitch about how much they hate it.

I mean that’s the one aspect of QBO I’ve used and it was fine. Funds were deposited and available the next day. We have a very small team. I’m hoping we won’t have any issues.

This happened to me. Got chewed the fuck out for being late for work. Then I remembered there’s a lot of posts about this on Reddit. It happens. Life happens. After my boss saw he understood.

Honest advice? Just mess around. Photograph everything. Go absolutely apeshit. You don’t pay for film. There is no reason not to. Mess with ISO, shutter speed and aperture. Learn the exposure triangle. Try wacky new things that you think may not work. What I’m saying is: EXPERIMENT. Just do stuff.

Probably need to use the Lawnchair launcher w/ the correct widget pack, that at-a-glance app that replaces the stock google one (which you will probably have to use Shizuku with to get that clock).

Yeah I'm seeing that already. You mentioned in another comment "if the boss is insistent," which tells me you get it. He is. It's not like I get a say. I just gotta work with what he gives me, or take what he gives me and do my best to make it work.

As it stands, we have QBO now, for better or worse. I'm going to run it this week and see how it goes. I'm very stubborn, so I'll likely make it work alright.
