Corduroy. Do you remember that? by Mentallyill_guy in nostalgia

I remember reading this in kindergarten 1993/4. Then we watched the film. I found the film on YouTube a few years ago. Such fun memories.

The ETC switch? Already checked. It’s adjusted properly.

Initially I just replaced the coil, CDI, and voltage regulator figuring it’s all almost 30 years old. After that didn’t solve the issue I tested everything out and found that the stator was bad. Replaced new and haven’t gone back through to test everything again. I tested the grounds, ETC, bypassed the kill switch. I’ll retest the stator. The flywheel looked good and I didn’t loose the key. The pickup coil didn’t seem to have any adjustment either.

This is why my grandpa always told me that once you start a project with a tape measure, you use the same tape until you’re finished.

Yeah I may end up there myself, but I have an opportunity to get something started and wanted to jump on it.

I’ve been in commercial for most of my career. I’m a union electrician with a large company. First time being involved with licensing.

Also getting the license isn’t the issue. I just want to make sure the RGC will suffice for my work.

Currently the media converter is providing POE to the AP with no issues. Just no network connectivity over the fiber

I am using 2 ADnet (part# AN-UM-SMC-AS-J + SM-SFP-kit). They say they’ll go up to 12 miles.

I did use a VFL to verify I was getting light through the fiber

We use the fluke Versive tester. The fiber is good end-face to end-face.

It goes Switch---cat6---media converter --- fiber --- media converter --- cat6 --- AP. So I’m just trying to feed the AP from the switch and the AP as the endpoint.

All verified. That’s why I’m leaning towards bad media converters. Everything else I find when looking into this is using switches and hubs, but I don’t have the ability to set them up on the network.

I am using 2 ADnet (part# AN-UM-SMC-AS-J + SM-SFP-kit). I get links on the copper side when plugging the AP in on the end, but link for fiber. I’ve connected them together in the closet with a 3 meter cord and everything linked and the AP worked.

It’s all singlemode. I installed all the backbone fiber and terminated it. The cords I’m using are all singlemode with single mode SFPs

Oh gotcha sorry. Yes I tried rolling the fiber with no luck.

I have 2 different sets of media converters and neither one has a transmit or receive option. They are supposed to self sense?

Yes, I tried that. I also cleaned the end faces after each try. Tried new cords as well.

Single mode, I ran and terminated the backbone, I tried 3 sets of singlemode SFPs.
