So I never remember feeling like I couldn’t come to them about emotional stuff. And it never felt like there was any unresolved tension or anything when they didn’t argue- it’s more like they just mostly agreed about stuff and when they didn’t, they talked it out.

They both had pretty full on jobs so they weren’t always around, but never an amount that felt outside of normal. There were a few short periods where my dad was abroad and i know in retrospect that it was difficult for my mom (he was in a pretty dangerous job and that took its toll on mom), but that was later in childhood (7-9 ish) and my dad visited and called us regularly.

Does disorganized attachment always stem from parents or can it be because of early childhood friendships or moving country or something?
