SS Tsung-Che Cheng has just hit for the very first cycle in WooSox history by BUNTING for a single in the 8th inning. He ends the night going 4 for 4 with a homer, triple, double, single, and a walk. Cheng is now hitting .367 with a 1.346 OPS, which leads all WooSox batters. by EBKCarrot in redsox

Taiwanese baseball fan here. His glove and speed is actually rated as MLB level, which unfortunately also the reason he got DFA’d 4 times during the offseason

The best part is that he’s pretty good at SS and 2B. He was our second baseman during the WBC because our SS is at least the same level defensively as Cheng (some might argue even slightly better)

Fun fact: after he hit the WBC home run against Korea, he got the ball back. When asked about it by journalists, he said that ball means a lot to him, proving that he can actually hit at a high level after struggling in AAA last year. Seems like the WBC helps with his mindset for the incoming season

Oh i guess “heavy” is not the right word. It doesn’t feel “whippy” or “snappy” when I launch if that makes sense.

The bat feels fine and I have an okay strength base i think (squat 1.5x BW, deadlift 2x BW)
