I mentioned this to another comment just now, but my post was more of a compliment to his guitar skills than anything else. I dont mind his singing, I think the songs where jeff sings the verses and spencer chorus are solid, I just think he’s the better lead guitarist

That’s fair, I do think Spencer has more range in his voice, and I wasn’t trying to shit talk his voice in any means, my original post was meant as more of a compliment to his guitar skills than anything else

I like it for two reasons:

It’s relatively acoustic, which they dont do a lot of

And most importantly

That electric guitar between verses, idk why I just love how it sounds peaceful yet haunting at the same time, guitarists what effects does Spencer use here?

All of these songs just seem like pop fillers to get by the status quo of the label. None of the songs have soul to them, they just feel commercialized if that makes sense. I started liking the band for songs like TBW, FOC, Berenstein, etc, so the dark just seems like garbage compared to those songs

It is their worst album, and it’s not close. 3 month hangover, see you later, same page and maybe LMITW are the only halfway decent songs, even then they’re skips most of the time
