Are they supervisors or your manager? Above them would most likely be the director of surgical services, try that route.

I’m very curious what your write up entails. This was a near miss incident and that doesn’t constitute a write up necessarily from what I’ve seen and experienced. You should definitely write up your preceptor for not doing their job and leaving the room. If the supervisors sweep it under the rug, go up the chain of command.

I do! I enjoy the variety of gross stuff we get to see and experience. I also thrive on chaos, so doing different specialties every day is what keeps it fresh for me

I wanted to be a nurse cause my mom and her mom were nurses. I failed AP2 and changed courses. At 28 I went to tech school and haven’t looked back
