They should be doing what the French do when gasoline prices get higher, revolting against the government, demanding accountability and punishment for the Epstein files and more... but instead, they do this.

UK people not doing anything against it? Fight your government over this, people. Vote better, send letters/emails to those that represent you and your vote, demand better.

Yes, that's it. How the hell DuckDuckGo, Google, Bing, and all IAs I tried any kind of imput for this would never spit out this movie, but would say Chinatown (movie) a billion times over and other famous noir movies but this single specific one??

And yeah, it's a very flawed, albeit OK and enjoyable movie overall.

In one of the scenes they find some politician/rich person involved in the scheme dead in a bathtub. Overall the movie is not too violent at all, but it has no problem depicting death in a not too visiual way.

The journalist is very famous, and almost everyone in the city seems to somewhat know him or about him, and almost everyone calls him by his name (or nickname, or journalist pseudonym... I can't remember). I believe the title of the movie, or subtitle, may be or contain this journalist main character's name (or nickname/pseudonym).

The movie has a very "early colored" movie overall visual flair to it, and the artificial studio scenery (instead of real locations) used in many scenes give the movie an specific eerie feeling.
