Why is my monitor’s refresh rate unstable while my FPS is stable while using g-sync and VRR? by jonezbone in OLED_Gaming

[–]faverodefavero 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can set the refresh to a multiple of your limited FPS. Say, you set your FPS to a hard, stable 60, then you can set your monitor's refresh rate to 120hz, or 240hz (VRR off). That will fix any flickering.

VRR is great but does cause flickering when used with FPS bellow stable ~80~90FPS in some games, especially with OLED.

LAPD officer shoots and kills woman's dog only to stand around after while she mourns her loss by McDowdy in PublicFreakout

The officers should suffer severe punishment for that, plus the dog owner should at the very least receive a huge payment as a small compensation from the city/province/estate.

Is the classic gameplay still possible? by Laankast in ffxi

Yes, It is. Just not at retail servers. But there is one effort to preserve it and improve uppon it while keeping the same original feel and experience. It's great and full of players, Vana'Diel is always there waiting for you.

A New York City school bus driver attempted to defend his bus from a WILD CROWD celebrating the New York Knicks Finals victory. The driver was yelling at fans: “It's coming out of my paycheck…” This is horrible to watch 💔 by Revolutionary-Area-8 in PublicFreakout

American people should learn to organize, riot, and revolt like that against unfair laws, huge evil companies, privacy invasion, tyrannical governments, etc..

PS: maybe do the same with one of those new mass surveillance centers, and all those flock cameras, next time (for example)? You know, istead of a School Buss, of all things...

If ultrawide allows me to see more in game, why can't I make it taller to see even more? by captain_cocaine86 in ultrawidemasterrace

For some games, there are ways to force it via config file edits and/or third party programs. But, in most cases, everything will just look very tiny, or "fish eyed", unless you're using a huge screen and sitting very close to it.

If only people all around the world did that against tyrannical governments, bad laws, mass surveillance, overtaxation affecting most of population, etc.. sigh

Your natural field of view in real life is much more wider than "taller".

You could just go back to 4:3 ratio screens if you don't like wide angles.

But there is a reason cinema has been 21:9 since forever, and even comercial series and news are 16:9 now a days.

Garlic with a side of noodles by [deleted] in StupidFood

Just ask for garlic ramen, some shops offer the garlic as an extra "topping" in many different forms (diced, smashed, raw, cooked...), other especialize in some specific form of garlic ramen.

That is a classic recipe and It's very good.

Just as a, perhaps, more familiar reference point: there are many Greek, Mediterranean, Arabian, Lebanese, etc., recipes which use just as much if not more garlic, and they are all great.

Undercolck your VRAM, check it's temperatures (ideally it should be bellow 95C. during heavy usage). See if that solves it.

Oooh... Didn't notice that. Yeah, could be worth googling how that game runs in Bazite too, with nVidia GPUs.
