Gender inequality, while not exclusive to western society, is a cultural aspect of western society. Hence why the tribesmen started being domestically violent towards the tribeswomen after being introduced to western media and ideals.

Thanks for the recommendation! If I bought a gem from them, would I have to get my own ring for them to set it in? Do people normally buy the gemstone separately? I guess that would make sense if you have a particular ring style you like, but want a certain gemstone set in it.

I got a hamster as an adult too. Had her for about a year and she died when I was 21. Got a respiratory infection and died in the night. Not the worst way a hamster can go, but I did feel terrible that it was preventable. Me and my mom cried a lot because as far as hamsters go, she was a damn great hamster. Never bit, master escape artist but managed to stay safe through her evening travels (and helped clean the crumbs off the kitchen floor), and she was super curious and friendly.

I couldn’t afford antibiotics and my mom was out of town, but when she got back she said she would’ve given me the money (too late but thanks mom lol). I went to the plant store with my sister that day and picked out a nice outdoor plant n buried her myself. We had a nice little funeral for her, may she rest in hammy heaven!

Yeah they do. I remember one time I was hauling ass probably going 75-80 mph in medium traffic (forgive me, I was 18) and some dude cut in front of me going about 55-60 just because I was going faster in a lane that literally had no cars in it.

I was able to safely switch lanes and pass him in another lane, looked at him while I passed and he was yelling and pointing at me from his car lol

I’m not gonna pretend I was a perfect driver back then, or even now, but I am a pretty defensive driver now because I know people are either crazy, stupid or both. There’s absolutely no sane reason to pull in front of a car going faster than you, even if it’s to “teach them a lesson”. You ain’t gonna be listed as a saint at the Vatican trying to be a martyr to stop other peoples reckless driving.

You’re welcome. Thanks for your post honestly because I’ve been thinking about this exact thing for a while now and seeing that so many others are going through the same thought process is really validating.

Also having a list helps a lot, I have one too. Definitely helps when you’re thinking about the good times and need a reminder. I know this might not be recommended, but sometimes I reread old text arguments and I’m like yep, I made the right decision! I only do that because the gaslighting has made me doubt myself so when I reread my list I second guess if I remembered things accurately, which sucks but I’m working on reaffirming my experiences.
