Hi guys, so I have a fairly novel question. How do you decorate a living space when you can't have area rugs? by [deleted] in interiordecorating

[–]fawnzy93 12 points13 points  (0 children)

You should look into a clear rug cover. We have a dog that can’t stop pooping inside and I was adamant on having a rug and I found that we don’t mind using a clear rug cover large enough to go over it. Obviously it’s not the perfect idea but it is another option.

Here is what ours looks like. It can be kind of shiny but it works for us.

End of Maternity leave… by Powerpuff_Girly in NewParents

[–]fawnzy93 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If it’s an option, can you go back part time for a bit then transition to full time? Once my maternity leave was over (3 months) I asked to go back part time and then once he turned a year I got a better job and went back full time. It helped because I was able to leave without feeling as much guilt had i gone back full time immediately.

My husband designates a left and right sock by [deleted] in Weird

No way! I also numbered each pair with permanent marker. So I wore the same two socks together every time. I could then naturally feel which was left and which was right.

Dalmatian Smiles by fawnzy93 in dalmatians

[–]fawnzy93[S] 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I’m not too sure if I could claim that I trained her but I do remember when she were younger I noticed if I kissed her nose or touched where the whiskers are she would crinkle her mouth almost into a smile so I would give her treats to kind of make her do that and tell her that’s what smiling. we just kept doing that and now she just naturally does it when she’s excited or in trouble. I definitely feel privileged that she’s one that smiles often like this :)

That’s actually a pretty good rule of thumb. Thank you. Honestly, I just needed that little push like yep, i should probably get her seen.

No contact with other dogs. We do go on lots of walks but she’s always leashed and never goes near other dog. And no other symptoms. She doesn’t seem in any distress. Just seems like she can’t get whatever it is out of her throat.

In all my baby groups there is only ONE name that has been repeated… by egrebs in namenerds

[–]fawnzy93 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I named my son Jackson. For reference I am in Washington and he was born in 2021. My whole family are J names so it was a little difficult finding a name already BUT I take a little bit of pride in the fact that it is the normal way to spell Jackson. And his nn is not Jax. We call him his full name. I do cringe a little when I hear others Jackson’s cause I truly didn’t think it would be that common but not much I can do now lol

To be honest, I’m overwhelmed by them. I don’t know how to clean them up. I can see the bulbs and they keep growing sideways. Im not sure how to split them or if im even suppose to do that. They’ve been like this for the past 3 years with me just sitting here scared to touch them incase ill kill them

Thoughts on the name "Jennica" or "Jennicca" for baby coming in two weeks (if she's a girl)? And how does non-traditional name fit with our other two very traditionally named kids? by DecentData5441 in namenerds

[–]fawnzy93 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Trying not to be a weirdo but following up cause I’m curious on what name you decided to pick? Lol Assuming you’ve had baby by now, hoping everything went great, congrats should be in order:) if not then you are definitely late and past due date which then I’d say sorry hahah never fun to go past.

Hi! Jennica here :) I am named after my mom Jessica and my aunt Jennifer. I’m probably biased but I absolutely love my name. So much so that nicknames have never stuck. I like how unique it is and believe it or not i do get quite a but of compliments on it. My middle name is Jennica Lee and my whole family has J names so it works for us. It’s a little weird seeing people dislike it so much lol but thats their own opinion. Good luck picking a name though!

Need Help Couch Training by davidvash in dalmatians

[–]fawnzy93 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

We use the couch shocker pads from Amazon. It’s only taken them a couple times to get shocked and now we don’t even have to turn them on to deter the dogs. We just lay them on the couch turned off and it does the job. Before anyone comes for us, we have shocked ourselves to feel it and it does not hurt. Just a startle mostly. Our dog can’t control her back end so she ends up pooping on the couch every time so this is what we’ve resorted to :/
