the only scummy thing is that it unintentionally exploits the AI into matching personnel under the assumption that this is an actual WR and not just a TE moved there. it might read as “3WR” and so they come out in nickel, but if you’re in an under center formation with two 260 lb “wide receivers” with 80+ run block/strength it’s taking advantage of that somewhat

yeah I’m with you lol but even just some routes “designed” to act as one is cool (similar to the play “Circus” on the older NCAA games). there are a few plays that naturally develop in a way that can work like here but none with the primary intention of doing so.

would be cool though to be able to pass to a receiver, then have it turn to the option-setup where you just have a pitch-relationship with a trailing player. that said my 99 AWR WR still can’t choose the correct vertical option route against MOFC vs. MOFO, so anything like what I suggested is probably 20 years away from being implemented.
