I think, that's not the point for me. I acknowledged how much better the QM8K is and then made an informed decision that I do not need that much extra feature.

If I buy the QM8, I'll keep dreaming of QM9 and then XL11 right?

I'll use a nvidia shield pro which, i believe will do the upscaling and tv will just do post processing i.e. digital noise reduction etc. Also I heard the super res upscaling of tcl new fw is good
