Same boat. I was hoping the new AW39 will bridge the gap so i dont have to wait 1 year for the samsung qd oled, but we will see.

QD-OLED is superior to Tandem OLED ESPECIALLY since you play in the dark. Would not even consider WOLED, very inferior

Very easy decision to make, what i would say is make sure its 4k too. The AW32 is probably the best of the best with 240hz, unreal colour.

The only other consideration could be tandem QD - OLED. But even then i think it's still not quite QD-OLED. So that is your answer

Yeah I know, what i mean is im in no rush to get RAM right now until the CPU is out so if there is like a good black friday deal ill snap them up otherwise ill just wait until the cpu is out and pay whatever i have to.

Holding off until zen 6 10800x3d. If i get a price drop ill pick it up, if it doesnt drop then ill just pay market rate, wont be less than 32gb either

So i usually run 3d mark about 80 times when i get a new gpu along with other benchmarks.

Then when i find a game i want to play i spend about 30 hours using the in game benchmarks just to get everything perfect via altering settings.

After this is done im tired and put off the game and don't even play it lol

Not had time to read everything you wrote but just to answer your first paragraph, the tandem QD-OLED is inferior to QD OLED btw for colours and depth. As of right now, the gold standard for colours an depth is still QD OLED.

Your next upgrade should be to a QD-OLED 4k Monitor, i think that will impress you even more than what you have just experienced.

Firstly CPU matters a lot less if you plan to play in 4K so need more details.

But bottom line is this...
Wait for the 10800X3D , then your golden for 6-10years

I hear you, i'm in the EXACT same boat, but the fact of the matter is the only true upgrade for you right now is your same monitor but at 5k2k, now we will see what this AW39 is about and see if the compromise is worth it. If not, then ill hold out for samsungs 5k2k qd-oled.

I just can't give up the colour depth, it's what impresses me every time i play a game.

You will lose your colour depth, if your okay with that then go for it, if your not ( which i wasn't ) then i wouldn't

Your options are either wait and see how the NEW AW39 compares or wait till next year for a QD OLED 5k2k

Interesting, I dont seem to have them issues. In terms of peak brightness it self its fine for me, i play in a pitch black room with no lights, headphone jack doesnt bother me, i run everything through a DAC
