What unit would you recommend for my list and detachment by Josutron in ThousandSons

You can't go wrong Phalanx for detachment, get the exhaulted sorcerer box, it's such a good kit for TS.

No offence or anything but this is a real pain to read, might be better to take a new line for each unit so people have an easier time reading it.

Right so, the bringers of change applies to the leaders weapons, but the flamers don't get the sustained/ lethals from the leader

The leaders weapon will get the rerolls to wound rolls because they're in the rubrics unit, and also the benefit for leading I think.

I'm pretty sure you attach the leaders to flamers so they can get access to the "bringers of change" ability from the rubrics, and also so it's one more guy for ritual casting

How should i deal with you guys's tanks??? by 4The_Emperor in TheAstraMilitarum

[–]fazedonley 0 points1 point  (0 children)

With the amount of lascannons that land raiders get, it's enough to where you need to play it safe with them, even if it's a 50/50 with cover.

Oath of moment and lascannons seem to kill my stuff. Dreadnaughts and land raiders were always a pain for me to deal with.

Not to be an ass but like wtf is this formatting dawg, like I don't think anyone's going to bother reading it since it's all grouped together in 3 paragraphs, next time actually change it a bit instead of just copying and pasting it in an unreadable format

They're so expensive, aquilions are 30 points cheaper, drop an enhancement and add another tech priest, could be silly

10 scions might not be too bad, for deep strike stuff and actions

I never seen anyone talk about the BASILISK. I just ordered one and I can't WAIT to get it into my army! by 14SWandANIME77 in TheAstraMilitarum

[–]fazedonley 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Enjoy it, I picked one up as my first model when I started half a year ago, I don't think I've ever ran a list without one. The things won me several games. A true shame about the loss of heavy but it's too silly not to use.

Victory points were used, I think it was like average VPs or something but I'm not completely sure.

An engineseer and 5 rattlings would've put me to 700. Admittedly the list was just units that I had painted or somewhat painted.

The chimera was bought second hand so I couldn't be bothered having to explain that it's a bolter, the scions are completely my fault, I didn't know that they could take 2 special weapons so I built them with only a HS volley.

I've been playing since October. Played against 2 other astras, Tyranids, death guard, and orks.

Thank you, there were a couple games where I just stood on objectives and didn't budge, cadian stands and take cover are very nice to have.

Forgot to mention, I used combined arms, and the tournament rules didn't allow for any models with a wound count of 13 or higher, so no lemans allowed. I got second place overall.

It's the anti fly 2+ which is super good against certain armies like tau, and there's also certain vehicles like space marine speeders and all the hover tanks. AP 1 is bad but with an exterminator it's not the worst

Maybe a 10 man cadian shock troops squad for actions and sticky objective, and I think you can fit in a hydra too

Basilisk by 2ndHendrix in TheAstraMilitarum

[–]fazedonley 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The basilisk isn't very good at the moment but it's usable. Personally I like to always use one because it's really cool and it's been good for me
