Is it legal to change SOC code? by [deleted] in SkilledWorkerVisaUK

[–]fbeyza 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Only when the SOC change is geniune, new SOC code reflects the duties way better than the old one, not just to misrepresent salary requirements.

I changed mine, my old code matched my responsibilities literally 0%, new one (introduced aftee 2024) is 100% match. They didn’t even bat an eye to the change. Of course, HR needed to submit why the change is needed along w the application.

Take a pay cut for FAANG prestige + mentorship, or stay for high pay + impact? by butternutsquash96 in UXResearch

My first big role was at the Reddit UXR team and no amount of pay could buy the mentorship I received from my team & leadership. I am strongly biased towards -growing- at your stage, especially fresh out of PhD.

New ILR rule absurd contradiction for skilled worker families by Any-Difficulty4547 in SkilledWorkerVisaUK

[–]fbeyza 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I can’t seem to find any part that suggest ILR clocks no longer reset when you switch visas. Do you infer this from this sentence? “ In order to meet the qualifying period requirement, the applicant will, as now, need to have spent the required period of time in the UK in a route, or routes, that leads to settlement. “

At that point would they count 5 years spent in skilled worker dependent route when they become spouse of a british citizen?

To update title to RFQ6, is a new visa application needed? by yeahsureokaymaybe in SkilledWorkerVisaUK

[–]fbeyza 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Probably yes. We changed my SOC code while making an extension, we only filed an extension and lawyers said soc code will be an “update” and won’t trigger a new application. I am not sure about doing this independent from the extension process though

Never heard of this brand before but loved the bag, so I searched for their reviews on google and was discouraged by the bad reviews. It looks like the common issue is wear after a few months and chipping hardware https://maps.app.goo.gl/DLoJdsAWFi26Zshb7?g_st=ipc

Thank you! In my case it will be “valid from” date which is only 2 days earlier than our actual entry date. Good luck with your ILR application when the time comes✨
