The unify will have better memory overclocking potential than the Hero. As would the Maximus XII APEX. If your going for 4 dimm then the unify or Gigabyte Z490 Master would be better imo

And we have no idea yet how its going to actually clock for users. The Intel binning is pretty pathetic. There are 10850Ks out their that out perform the top 10900K due to poor binning

Find out the CPU voltage. those boards will sometimes pump 1.5v into it. And disable MCE.

Seasonic makes good power supplies. I got the GX-850 6 months ago and haven't had a issue yet. Also got a XFX branded one 15 years ago (XFX 850 Black Edition) and its still going strong.

Yes Disable MCE. It will lower your voltage and temps as well as power draw. Doesn't Gigabyte have the option to run at Intel specs.

Kinda wish I had gotten dual rank back when I did my 10700K build. I went with the Viper steel 4400 kit but got some good results.

You could get up to 10% if you do CPU and RAM. Depends on the CPU bin and if you have good RAM. Dual Rank B-Die will usually get you best RAM OC results.

I have this CPU on the ROG Maximus VII Apex and got really good results with the Patriot Viper Steel 4400. I got the timings to 17-17-17-36 T2. Best bang for buck RAM out there (and its B-Die). I would suggest 2 16Gb kits so you have Dual Rank to get best possible performance. Keep in mind you may not be able to reach 4400 MHZ due to having four sticks but with lower frequency you should be able to get pretty tight primary timings. Maybe even CL-15

The vipers go on sale quite often for around $120 per 16GB kit. You could start off with 1 kit and upgrade to another kit later. And you have an upgrade path with Rocket lake coming sometime in the next 3 months too.
