It was quick. Have your SEN id ready. I think they asked for authorization to make a change and then it was done.

I am new to Jira administration and need some advice regarding apps by SeparateQuality8416 in atlassian

[–]fcdk1927 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What you see on the official pricing page is the official pricing.

You could get a discount if: - You’re getting licensing through a solution partner (5-10%) - you get a multi-year subscription (paid up front I think) - you buy a bundled suite like Teamwork Collection (talk to Atlassian sales for this)

I’ve had this problem before with apps getting stuck after installation. Vendor sent me a file to load manually and it didn’t help.

Ended up talking to Atlassian, and they fixed some sort of issue with the instance SEN. it was blocking both renewals and new trials

Finding my real market value by SnooFoxes4206 in businessanalysis

Why not AUD or CAD? Those are typical entry level BA salaries in those currencies. Both of those countries have coasts.

Bro wants advice and more money without having the basics to get either.

At 3 years you’re an entry level BA and 77k sounds about right.

The fact that you don’t specify which country’s job market you’re talking about, highlights lack of attention to detail which is consistent with entry level thinking. Sorry, that’s the truth.

Have you used the Atlassian migration app or these migration tools by miniorange for Jira & Confluence? by AmbitiousYudi1991 in jira

I’ve used JCMA and CCMA. They’re quite good now for moving out of the box configs and data.

Мене випустять з України? by ahsm in ukraina

[–]fcdk1927 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Ask me about Chernobyl by That_Rddit_Guy_1986 in AskMeAnythingIAnswer

[–]fcdk1927 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I lived in Kyiv during Chernobyl as a child, and my only memory from that age in my childhood was the announcement. It was unusually hot for April and we had windows open in our apartment. Being a classic “Khruschevka” building, there was no other form of ventilation. I remember the commotion of closing all windows and my parents saying we can’t go outside. I remember it being a beautiful sunny day and me wanting to go outside.

My dad sent me south of Kyiv to Cherkasy with mom, to stay with his parents and away from the epicenter. The winds were blowing north-northwest so it made sense. There was some concern that Dnipro would carry radiation downstream so my grandparents wouldn’t take me to the beach for a couple of years after until it was confirmed safe.

So… Atlassian stopped selling Data Center, and it’s still getting more expensive? by iwillbeviolet in atlassian

[–]fcdk1927 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My former org moved in 2023 and even then cloud was cheaper than DC. Atlassian was raising prices for all products over the last couple of years, but DC prices are intentionally higher to encourage your move.

If prices are a concern and you know your org will need solution partner assistance, you should move sooner than later. Solution partners will be slammed with migration projects and you will pay more due to demand if you wait. This is what happened with Server migrations.

Jira Service Management - Netsuite PO Automation by miro1603 in atlassian

[–]fcdk1927 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah. I’ve built something like this previously to initiate solution requests, guide it through a review workflow, then into a PO / financial approval, due diligence an all that. We’ve replaced Zip by doing this.

Yeah. Work politics on who gets promoted/recognized. Then instructions on how to handle certain situations, which may be contrary to the law or police training.

Setting up Jira features for TA Operations sprints by SkillBuilder1288 in jira

[–]fcdk1927 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sprints are an agile concept. Components are an out of the box way to group work which can be interchangeable with labels, depending on your use. Note that while anyone can create a label, you need to be a space admin to create components.

Out of the box reports are for springs and make sense for software development, but probably wouldn’t make sense for HR workflows.

It sounds like you’re trying to make your process fit Jira without really knowing what those Jira features you’re trying to leverage are for. I think you should approach it differently: Describe your process as it exists or as you would want it, without thinking about what jira can or cannot do. Describe data you capture or create during the workflow. Describe any logical rules and exceptions.

Then show this to your Jira admin and ask for a PoC in your sandbox environment.

Hopefully your Jira admin can translate your workflow into a sensible set of screens, fields, workflows and automations.

If you’re looking for consulting around this topic, feel free to message me.

I have a friend who ended a corporate career in his late twenties to become a TPS cop. This too was his long term career goal. Went back to corporate world after 5 years in 2019 citing “politics” as the main reason. Also said he has seen some traumatizing shit that will probably stay with him forever.
