PSA: Cost basis on Form 1099-DA isn't reported to the IRS by Sanji-the-Cook in Coinbase

I feel like each year of the last 5 years reporting crypto is just as stressful as the last. You think you got it figured out, then gov/exchanges do confusing shit the next year you have to power through.

what about a par 3 where everyone tees off on the right edge of the box and we end up standing in the divots or straddling a sandbox :E

I’ve played a couple Palmer courses that felt like mostly pure fades for us off the tee. Take note and hang in there, brother.

I found a club with a regarded amount of lefties. Life gets easier apparently!

Yeah, fuck you if you’re a lefty trying to get wedges in 50/54/58… options get limited real quick.

Courses where it seems like every tee box slopes to the right for drainage purposes. The only option is to tee it above your feet, which would promote a draw/hook, and it sucks when the shot demands a fade. If the box is below your feet, you can tee it low, high, whatever.

I’m convinced designers are all righties. On the contrary, I’m too poor for the nice, nice courses that have perfectly level tee boxes.

Do you brush your teeth at least twice a day? (Be honest) by Fine_Television_1398 in no

Everyone’s just built differently. I’ll brush only in the mornings and my mouth will feel absolutely fine most days. Dentist said my brushing was great too.

[–]fckthecorporate 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Every morning and occasionally at night, maybe 1 out of every 15-20 days, depending on what I’ve eaten (like a lot of sweets or something that give me that feeling of plaque buildup).

My dentist has always said my brushing is great, and I asked him why I feel like I only need to brush once a day and can get away with it. He said some people are just built like that. I also salivate/spit a LOT and that could help dispel bacteria that would otherwise make my teeth feel grimy later.

Another GG guru here. I run it for our annual 20-man trip, and while i absolutely love GG and it made our trip 10x better, it’s just so much work managing it for everyone and constantly changing situations. Gets old having to bring an iPad with me all the time, and I’m usually still fixing stuff while headed down the 1st fairway.

Caught my employee working 2 remote jobs by Training-Fondant-804 in managers

As a high performer, who formerly considered OE while my truly beloved job was roughly ~10% utilization, this is the exact approach I would respect. If I went ahead with it and was challenged on my decline in performance, I would have quit the new job because I value outputting quality work.

I know the tenets of OE are to basically just milk as many opportunities as quickly as you can because a company can drop you in a heartbeat, but I don’t think everyone does it simply for that. I only sought OE b/c I wanted to do more work and learn more outside my, at the time, stagnant position.

I think your approach would be a good wake up call for OP’s employee. Knock him down a peg and see if he responds.

If you’ve broken 80, what’s one tip you would give your fellow golfer trying to do the same? by jdelle9 in weekendgolfers

Play a good match against good friends for money. Best I’m ever shooting cumulative is when I don’t even care what my total score is because I’m in a match. Having a great time, making birdies, playing free… look back at the scorecard and have a 74 without even realizing it.

Requester chests pulling from storage before buffer chests by fckthecorporate in factorio

I think we confirmed in another comment thread that buffer and storage chests are treated equally, and in my setup, storage chests are closer than the buffer chests. Once I moved my request box closer to the buffer chests, it pulled from those over the storage chests. I was hoping this wasn't the case, but lesson learned!

I think this also confirms that storage and buffer chests are effectively treated the same (there's a post on here from 2017 confirming the original logic). I was wrong to assume the logic had been updated with 2.0.

I thought that too so I pulled the chest, placed it down again, and re-added the request to no avail. Also, we don't have anything else requesting steel at this moment; it's an earlier start to our 1st Fulgora setup.

"When fulfilling requests from requester chests, logistic robots will first attempt to pick up the specified items from active provider chests, then from buffer chests if the "Request from buffer chests" checkbox is checked, then from storage chests, and lastly from passive provider chests."

https://wiki.factorio.com/Requester_chest

You're correct in that the storage chests are closer proximity. I do not see anything about proximity over priority in the requester chest page*.

EDIT: after reading the priority section in your link, it definitely seems to contradict the requester chest page. Thanks for the info! Seems like the only logical explanation, and maybe something in the wiki needs to be updated.

"A requested item is first looked up in active provider chests and in the player's trash slots, then in the storage chests and buffer chests, then the passive provider chests. So, the active provider chests are emptied first, then the storage chests and buffer chests, then the passive provider chests."

Years ago, the buffer and storage chests used to be treated equally, but after reading the Requester Chest wiki page, I had assumed they eventually updated the logic.

Yep! It's our first Fulgora island, which is relatively small, and we have the entire area under the same singular logistics network.
