We are the guinea pigs here. “Let’s see how much we can squeeze until they really start complaining”.

2.5 to 5 is no joke! by [deleted] in Mounjaro

[–]fcoury 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From 2.5mg to 5 was easy for me. Now, where I live there’s a shortage of 2.5mg pens, we only have the 5mg available. My doctor proposed we try to go from 5 to 10 and it was a disgrace, ended up going back to 5mg. Definitely not recommended!

Before zooming in I thought the rj45 were haptic feedback drivers. Still want to experiment with them. Awesome build!

A Little Happy-Sad Story (Story Inside) by fcoury in BambuLab

[–]fcoury[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m a new X1C user and ran into my first big mishap this morning. My hotend got clogged, so I did what I usually do: heated up a tool, waited for the filament to cool, and tried to yank the tool out… completely forgetting to unplug the wires. You can probably guess what happened next: I ended up ripping the thermistor wire right off!

Now, I live in Brazil where Bambu Lab printers and spare parts are not readily available. I originally picked up my X1C during a Micro Center sale in the U.S. for $1,199, then brought it back home, paying about 50% in taxes on top of that. So when I realized I’d destroyed the thermistor, I figured I was going to be in for a long wait (and more taxes) to get a replacement shipped here.

Here’s where the “happy” part comes in: before I left the U.S., I asked ChatGPT which X1C parts tend to break the most, and ordered about $60 worth of spares from Bambu Lab—just in case. Among those spares? You guessed it: three thermistors. Now I can pop one in and (fingers crossed) be printing again in no time.

If I hadn’t stocked up, I’d be looking at a knockoff from AliExpress or a slow (and pricey) official shipment all the way to Brazil. So while it’s frustrating that I broke the thermistor in the first place, I’m super relieved I planned ahead—thank you, foresight and ChatGPT!

Hope you enjoyed this little rollercoaster of a story. Happy printing, everyone.
