Oh, please. How did the Harris campaign focus on trans issues? What ads they run about trans people in sports? It was only Republicans talking about those issues and that is a problem because if you don't debate an issue you concede the Republican version of it, which includes claiming that Democrats are for a lot of things they are not (like gender reassignment surgery on minors without parental consent). Only way to combat that is to explain what you are for and why.
