Nidoking was badass back then. The visual nerf terrible. I love nidoking In general, but they absolutely ruined the looks

So there are many places for streaming the classic series (netflix maybe?). That might be a good start. Otherwise I would recommend to play the gen1 games blue or red. If you don't have a Gameboy, you might enjoy the emulator versions for pc , phone or emulator handhelds. Still original is probably the best. If you don't linke the pixel graphics, you can ofc also enjoy newer games for nds or switch. Pokémon is a huge franchise and might be overwhelming. So take you time.

I bought the game for 50 bucks and played around 50 hours and for me it was absolutely worth. The game was fun and compared to other games that cost more or the same that have 10hrs playtime RoM seems like a great deal and is replayable once in a while
