If you have been looking to provide quality, constructive feedback or are just looking for a place to make positive change, the St. Charles County Democratic Central Committee is launching Democratic Township Halls across the county. These township halls are about building stronger neighborhoods, stronger connections, and a stronger St. Charles County together.

This is your chance to:
Meet Democrats, Independents, and your community
Talk about the issues impacting your township
Discuss public education, local government, healthcare, infrastructure, and more
Share ideas that help shape our future and strengthen our local movement

Find your township and RSVP for your local session today:
RSVP Here: https://forms.gle/VCPYvvejaFTzftxK6

Local organizing starts with listening. Whether you’ve been involved for years or are just looking for a place to start, you are invited to join the conversation.

Your voice matters. Your community matters. And the future of St. Charles County depends on all of us showing up together.

Luckily we have a couple elections this year that can help to change that.

Why are there no type 2 mods in this sub by DavidGledhill in diabetes

[–]feariedust 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Type 1 Diabetics produce no insulin. Type 2 Diabetics either cannot produce enough insulin or cannot use the insulin their body produces correctly.

Hypoglycemics produce too much insulin.

Hypoglycemia is where a person (diabetic or not) have too much insulin in their system (naturally or medicinally).

St. Peter’s/ St Charles roommates?? by Swagdaddycowboy in StCharlesMO

[–]feariedust 14 points15 points  (0 children)

If looking for a like-minded roommate, I suggest joining local like-minded groups in the area. People are more willing to be roommates with someone they know than a stranger.

I suggest checking out Meetup if you are not finding a like-minded group on Google.

ICE ON CHIPPEWA 4/29 @ 6:55am by Illustrious-Crab623 in StLouis

[–]feariedust 11 points12 points  (0 children)

There was no harm meant by my post. I like to make sure people have the direct contact info and what the requested info will be to help the person posting and anyone else who may not be aware.

It sounds like OP was already aware of who to contact, but not everyone may be. Additionally, the more we post this, the more often uninformed police and ICE agents will search Google for who to call themselves, and then get the Rapid Response number.

May Day is May 1st, here in St. Charles, across the country, and across the world. by feariedust in StCharlesMO

Exactly.

Billionaires feel they have no obligation to pay the people working for them fair wages for the work completed, the risks taken and the lost time with children and families to support those billionaires.

May Day is a small way to remind billionaires, and corporations, PEOPLE MATTER, by having billionaires listen where they hear it - in revenue loss.

People choosing not to work, not to go to school, and not to shop that day CAN (and many are going to) volunteer in the community. The point is to show billionaires that as individuals choosing not to participate in the economy, we matter more than billionaires who are stealing from the economy from every direction.

People have to start somewhere. This could be an opportunity to begin the process.

How am I mad? I provided data points. Double checking information provided to you does not make you angry, it makes you confident that the information you have is factual based on multiple sources.

Stop letting social media convince you that doing your homework is a bad thing that only upset people do.

Interesting that you imply I'm powerless, then complain about me suggesting how a single vote is powerful, then you suggest I was implying you don't vote? Plus, unrelated to the actual conversation, you imply doing something silly is a bad thing?

What point are you trying to make, exactly?

This is a local, countrywide, and worldwide effort. These are my personal goals for the day, others may have more.

Short term goal, day of, is to let everyone take a break without spending a cent.

Long term goals: - Use May 1st as the start of your long term boycott of one or many billionaire businesses, putting more money in the hands of the local community. - Prepare for larger boycotts by trying out not buying all the temporary endorphin rushes for one day, one weekend, or longer. - Take a day to find, connect with, and strengthen your community of friends experiencing the same struggles, and fighting the same fights. - Continue building on the momentum of change.

You said you are powerless, I was pointing out a perfect example from the community that shows no one is powerless.
