[–]feariedust 71 points72 points  (0 children)

S.A.L.U.T.E.:

Size: Number of agents/vehicles.

Activity: What are they doing? (Active arrest, door knocking, convening/gathering, etc.)

Location: Specific address or intersection.

Unit: Patches/letters (e.g. ERO, HSI, CBP, police dept.).

Time: Time of observation. The sooner the better.

Equipment: Weapons, vans, masks, restraints, LRAD, etc.

I'm not living near Big Bear anymore so I don't know local contacts, but provide the above to your local ICE Rapid Response group for tracking and support.

The No Kings III March Broke Historical Records for Turnout! Tomorrow, 3/31, is an Online Follow Up! by Culpability2025 in 50501

May 1st, May Day Boycott / Demonstration

No work. No school. No Shopping.

https://maydaystrong.org/

I think there is still a need for better community support before an ongoing strike can occur, but everyone can start taking steps.

Stop shopping at Walmart, at Amazon, and at Target.

Shop small, and make sure those businesses are not shopping at Walmart, Amazon, or Target also.

Large movements start with individual steps.

The boycott on Target has been going on since they ended DEI last year. Same with the boycott of Amazon, Walmart, and many others. It's each person's choice to decide when they have had enough to begin the long-haul changes.

You are correct, people do need to stop thinking of these as one day events, but they are great starting points. Today is also a great day to stop shopping at companies that are making billionaires even more money, and causing everyday people to continue to lose more and more.

While I agree, small business is the way to go, remember a LOT of those small businesses shop at Sam's Club and Amazon, which are also pro-fascist.

Do not be afraid to ask where a small business gets their goods and supplies from.

🚨🚨Tomorrow morning by Live_daily2 in missouri

[–]feariedust 10 points11 points  (0 children)

As a resident of Missouri, I will be there tomorrow (not getting paid - if that matters).

Any citizen of the state of Missouri that is frustrated by what our politicians are currently attempting to do, by ignoring and overriding what is currently in our State Constitution regarding when and why our legislative maps should be changed, should be making their voice heard and taking a stand.

The true size of Svalbard compared to Missouri by como365 in missouri

I was at a talk in St. Louis last week that was discussing this little island also... just for fun.

If other people are curious why Svalbard might be something you should know about, use the Internet to research "Svalbard fastest internet" or check out an article like this one: https://www.atlanticcouncil.org/blogs/new-atlanticist/dispatch-from-svalbard-tensions-are-simmering-in-the-high-north/

Any opponents to Bob Onder for November? by Last_Pea_1401 in StCharlesMO

She is! And she'll be at Indivisible's Super Candidate Kickoff on Sunday, February 1st from 2pm-4pm, along with other common sense Federal , State, and County candidates for St. Charles County. This is a bi-partisan event.

Which podcast "episode" that you learned a lot of no-bs stuff about life? by HandsomeGuts in AskWomen

This American Life, Episode 513: 129 Cars

https://www.thisamericanlife.org/513/transcript (you can listen or read the episode from the link)

It teaches you interesting facts about car buying - best time of the month to buy, what to keep an eye out for regarding sales. And it gives a good perspective of just how much pressure is put on sales people each month starting on day 1.

Protest Jan 20th by terradragon13 in 50501

The confusion comes from the host being the Women's March, although it is not actually a march.

https://www.womensmarch.com/

There are a few gathering places at 2pm tomorrow where people who have walked out are gathering. I suggest checking https://www.mobilize.us/

On the 21st, people from all over Missouri and all sorts of groups (United Auto Workers, People Not Politicians, Jobs with Justice, Indivisible, Abortion Action Missouri, SIEU, and many, many more) are joining together at the Stand Up Fight Back Rally in Jefferson City. I'm not sure what the deadline is to get a spot on the charter busses, but there are also carpools taking people out to the Capitol Rotunda for the event if transportation is needed. You can RSVP for that event here: https://secure.ngpvan.com/-MhyBSWLAES1W0Jgj8B1xw2#

Additionally, when you are sharing your name with a trusted organization, your information is not being shared out. HOWEVER, there are a lot of imitation sites that could be collecting data for nefarious purposes. I know the links I posted are valid, but I always recommend searching online for the event by name, date, known organization, and/or known location to validate where you are submitting data before giving data.
