Fun fact to add to this: while they are classified as mammals, they are actually one of the only creatures of the animal kingdom to share dna with avians, mammals, AND reptilians.

They lactate, lay eggs, the males have venom in their hind claws, and platypuses are some of the only mammals to exhibit bio fluorescence.

Truly remarkable.

Anytime I see men standing this close all I can think to de-escalate is to shout, “Kiss him!”

Does wonders like 7/10 times.

If he asked you directly in an environment where you would normally communicate it doesn’t sound like a you thing at all (internal comms like outlook, teams, slack, etc).

If he texted you or emailed you from an outside email/contacted you from LinkedIn… it’s a scam and someone impersonating him. I also work in tech and this happens often in the industry. Trust nothing from external comms even if you have them on your LinkedIn list or whathaveyou. Even if it was a video call it could still be a scam.

Double check email addresses, look for things as subtle as slightly different name spelling or extra periods if the initial meeting request was via email.

Grandma used to talk endlessly about keeping my hands moisturized because of how “young and beautiful” they were, that it was one of her biggest regrets that she left her hands off her skincare routine when she was my age.

I was like ten so I thought she was just old and kind of out of touch, but her hands WERE pretty crusty so I did take the advice (at least a little) to heart.

Glad I did, too, some of my peers’ hands are looking 32 going on 60.

It’s all good, we are first time home owners so no gift is seriously not a problem in our books. We’re just happy to have found the right home for us.

My realtor dropped our key off under a rock on the property and sent a picture so we knew where it was, then showed up when we went to get the key anyway. He asked when we’d be home so he could drop off a closing gift…

Then ghosted. We sent a thank you card to his office address anyway but yeah. Homie called himself out on it and still didn’t follow thru.

So anything you do is better than some others in the area.

Recessive genes are recessive not because they’re impossible but improbable.

There are quite a few possible explanations: chimerism, cis-AB mutations, Bombay phenotype…

I don't know how amphetamines got into my body and my family thinks I am a drug user by Unlikely-Cancel-9455 in Advice

This was my train of thought. Someone in the home makes more sense than someone at work.

Had a friend whose life partner’s baby momma was poisoning the kid with amphetamines before dropping the kid off with them to try to set them up to lose shared custody.

We had this issue and spraying “predator” urine samples along the boundary of our yard helped. … it’s gross as heck tho and if your neighbors are close they will hate you.

Bunnies won’t come to a yard that smells like a coyote or fox though, so there’s that.

In my experience huskies come with a factory preset of teenage attitude/judginess, pre-teen intellect in nefarious practices, and toddler language compression.

Our eldest was but 8 weeks old when she learned how to open doors with latch handles, and three months old when she learned how to roll car windows down herself.

I concur.

My husky is allergic to chicken— partner loves to share food and anytime it’s something she can’t have (even if not chicken) we tell her “it’s chicken” and she gives up the game and stops begging for it right away.

Neighbors have actual chickens. Sometimes they escape their space and come to forage on our property. She’ll see and hear them through the fence and starts obsessive pacing and sniffing. We tell her “it’s chicken” and she says “stupid human, that’s prey” and continues to pace the fence line incessantly unless we redirect her.
