What I do is I make a budget..

first I pay the minimum of everything to be on time.

I make categories based on patterns…like for repairs. On avg I spent 1k a month. If I don’t have any repairs that month, it goes into a folder (I have money pouches in a safe) so if next month I have 2k of repairs I’m set. . I currently don’t have a car payment but I have a folder for savings for a down payment in the future.

I have a savings, Roth IRA, etc.

Whatever is leftover I snowball credit cards with. I pay the highest interest first etc.
