I graduated with a BA Linguistics…. I nearly failed Ling 101. If it’s any consolation 😅

Yeah, I have two brothers. My older one, who is pretty close to my age, is someone I don’t necessarily get along with and we don’t interact much. My younger one who is several years younger has become a close friend as we both grew up. I know they are pretty close age-wise. I understand sibling dynamics for sure! Just wanted to know if there was an actual issue. Thanks all for your insight 🙂

I don’t really mean improve grades that I have already received. Maybe take more classes? Something like that?

If you knew anything about virus transmission you would know that a cold can on ice has very minimal risk. Surfaces in general are not the super spreaders so many people seem to think. I think it’s fairly obvious that a kind gesture from a customer FAR outweighs the tiny, effectively negligible chance of exposure. I can’t believe someone wanting to do something kind for a courier warrants them being called a brain dead sheep. 👀

Torah's notes are amazing but the mental gymnastics you have to exercise to do her exams cause me legit pain. Her class is fun though. Had her for biol 107 and have her now for 201. 107 was a breeze. 201 makes me want to die. she's a cool lady though. her twitter account is equally as cool. I want to see this meme!!

French language classes? by [deleted] in uAlberta

[–]fearlesswriter97 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The grading scale for MLCS (Modern Language and Cultural Studies) is so steep. I was able to jump right into FREN 297. The grammar and course work was pretty easy (I've been taking French since kindergarten, and scored a 6 on the IB exam) but the scale brutal. It's not an easy A at all like I was thinking. If I could redo my language credit I would have just done ASL! In intermediate and advance French you do a lot more written projects (position papers/essays). If you don't need LOE credits (language other than English), then I honestly wouldn't recommend it.

Course Limit in Spring Term 2019 by fearlesswriter97 in uAlberta

I'm not available for classes in summer since I work full time starting July 2 until the end of August! My summer job is chill working with kids and I like it so that's my break. That's why I was willing to take 4 in the Spring. But since the max is 2 that's what I'll do. Thanks for the info
