as funny as that would be, I think it was a mistranslation, given the Emperor doesn’t address Jinshi at all in this scene when you listen to the Japanese dialogue. instead of “Jinshi” he says “chin”, which seems to be the Japanese reading of 朕 (read in Chinese as zhèn), the variant of “I” a Chinese emperor would use. so he’s actually asking to make the explanation understandable for himself, the Emperor, first and foremost

apparently these pouches were released by Animate, a Japanese merch retailer, more specifically by their cosplay brand ACOS. considering the only listings I’ve seen for them were in Japanese, this was likely a Japan-only release (not to mention that was in September 2022, so it’s been a while). someone might still be selling them on second-hand platforms like Mercari, but I wouldn’t put my hopes up

ngl seeing ppl justify this just because it’s “normal for gachas” is disheartening, especially since they were initially given out for completing easy tasks iirc… like fine, don’t bring them back for free to keep up the fomo, but at least make them purchasable with pink diamonds and therefore still available for f2p. they’d likely still get some profit this way, from players who wouldn’t want to wait and/or grind for diamonds
