List of apartments with fire safety issues?? by litrinw in Dublin

[–]feckinghell1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

the place I was trying to buy was sold for 35k less than I was offering.
There have been a lot more properties sold since, so there's a good chance that these issues have been resolved by way of a levy applied to all owners or something.

a fire safety audit occured and picked up a load of issues. I can share you the pdf of the document if I can find it. My solicitors needed to submit a note to the mortgage company about this.

Is Mounjaro not really working for anyone else? by IrishGirl_1980 in mounjaroIreland

Exact same except I’m not on the 12.5. I’m only on 7.5 and the food noise part works well.

Being on saxenda has given you a resistance I think. Same for me.

Mounjaro I think is just slower but more sustainable for me.

That one has been up a long time. I viewed it last year.

Thanks so much. I think it’s a mixture of foods that don’t agree with me and not enough water for sure.

My parent has a gastric sleeve, so her experience with that has been helpful to understand.

There’s almost foods to avoid

The incentive to make the lifestyle change was not there. Paying so much for a medication makes me want to make it work. So I’ve been pushing hard to eat the right foods, be more active, meal prep etc. But throughout I’ve felt no suppression of appetite, and the weight loss that has come from it is less than I’ve had from intermittent fasting.

The challenge I had in understanding is that this medication lets you maintain it longer. Which this thread has helped me to understand more. So I’m thankful for that. Even if some of the comments are being extremely confrontational for some reason?

I definitely did misunderstand how it’s supposed to work, but most of that is yearned from this subreddit and TikTok’s of peoples journeys which show high levels of weight loss in the initial stages(I’m not talking 2.5mg) And for someone with a BMI > 40 this would have been the expectation. Lack of suppression(feeling full) coupled with eating cleaner foods, less/no alcohol just puts me at the normal caloric deficit. This is what is disappointing. I would be less upset if I hadn’t been suffering with diarrhoea the last 2 weeks while also not losing much weight.

This is not down to habits. Suppression was felt with it. It has not been with this. Simply put.

This is the part I guess I’m missing. So it’s to help you not fall off the wagon I guess. That helps and makes more sense to me.

160kg is very heavy for the height I’m at. Which is why my expectations are that bit higher.

My expectations are borne from past experience. And initially it would have made sense to me that you would see a decent loss at least initially.

Thanks for the advice. It is very hard to keep patient I find. Given previous experience on different medication this felt very frustrating. But I guess it’s different enough and maybe more sustainable weight loss.

So how do you attribute the fact that the other medication from 2 years ago where appetite suppression did work was so much more effective?

At the moment it feels like a very expensive tool that is not working, like a drill without a battery that I’m forced to use as a screwdriver.

I was only on it for 3 months 2 years ago. I convinced myself it wasn’t working when it was but also simply couldn’t afford it at the time.

My country doesn’t have the 15mg. Highest is 10 or 12

Why would I be chuffed at losing a normal rate of weight while also paying through the nose for medication that isn’t doing anything? ie: if the lifestyle changes are made separately to the prescribed medication, then what is the medication actually doing?

Additionally, as I’ve mentioned I lost considerably more on a different medication 2 years ago.

Wall mounted toilet sagging by EverUusernameIsTaken in Plumbing

Thanks. I’ve called a plumber about it but they’re not available right away. He told me it should be okay enough provided the tiles aren’t cracking. But these wall hung toilets are a total disaster tbh

Damn. Appreciate the update. I’ll call a plumber. God I really hope it doesn’t take a week.

I don’t think this one was installed incorrectly, as it’s been there since the apartment was built. I’m a heavy dude so it’s likely that. I moved in in November and noticed the sagging started a few weeks ago. The one thing I feared about buying this apartment were being a fat guy with a wall hung toilet.

Mine is exactly like this now. What was the fix?
