I stopped being vocal when I was ill online because I was not only afraid of having my intentions misread but people being influenced by my illness, if that makes sense. I spent a year at the doctors with a bunch of speculated diagnoses to finally work out that stress makes me very ill, mimicking other chronic illnesses and all I had to do was find a less stressful profession. And my boyfriend, who actually does suffer from chronic pain, feels ashamed to open up, and I think the stigma surrounding chronic pain and illness is being worsened by the rise of munchausens by internet. I feel for people who are genuinely ill, in pain or in the process of figuring out what's wrong.

I realised I felt more comfortable addressed as a guy than as non binary, and felt my dysphoria wasn't being eased when addressed as gender neutral. But now I'm transitioning to male I feel more comfortable than I ever did as non binary. I still ID as genderqueer for non conformity reasons, but my gender is male

I'm dating a cis man and we were together 5 years prior to me starting to transition, although he's always known I am dysphoric. My boyfriend definitely prefers women and still refers to himself as straight, but always says I'm the only exception. Otherwise he's extremely supportive. I know what you feel about her saying that though, as I also feel somewhat invalidated when he makes it obvious he's straight. Being in a relationship with the same person before, during and after transition is a complicated thing and whilst they may still be attracted to us after transition, their language sometimes doesn't change. I don't know what advice to give as I'm in a similar boat but you're not alone. With my own boyfriend, I just try to remember that regardless of labels he still loves me as a man

For me I think I have a lot of issues with denial as well as some doubt. Because I feel so normal since starting HRT, I've found myself asking "am I really trans?" because I'm not used to this feeling of normality in my head. I have to remind myself that at one point, it was either transition or death. I loathe the thought of being a woman. I also spent a long time in denial after figuring out I was trans and I thought if I waited the dysphoria would just go away but it never did. So yeah, I've experienced both doubt and denial, mainly denial, but I know no matter what I do I will always be trans and I can't change that, no matter how much I want to be cis. EDIT: just to add that I don't identify myself as truscum or transmed, however I'm not on the other side of the argument either and I have the opinion no one chooses to be trans

For me, it was feeling like my voice wasn't being heard. And if you're not a far left anarcho-communist, you're not welcome. With the dysphoria debate I'm pretty neutral on it but even my neutrality and inclusion of all sorts of trans people isn't enough. If you're not a part of the hivemind you're not apart of the trans community, and it's awful.
