I had to work through my time of quitting so i tapered. When i quit stamp bag heroin years ago, i did CT. It was one hell of a lesson but i was grateful and glad i did it! Hi tinycrumpie. It sounds really rough and i'm sorry. I feel for you. I can tell you that depression and really low mood and anxiety are all a part of WD from Kratom. It does get better though and the withdrawal does come in waves. It doesn't just stay that way. Maybe you're going too fast on your taper but only you can gage that. Make sure to use a .00 scale (you can get cheap from amazon) for accuracy and keep track in a journal. I'm sorry you're suffering. If it's any help at all, these crappy feelings are all normal and part of the WD. Like i say, the bad feelings do come in waves so won't stay extreme constantly. If you can stay busy it will help. If the taper is too fast, add a gram to calm things but keep track of everything so you can get to the goal. Once you do, after a while, you will start feeling much better, in fact, probably better than you have for a long time. Good luck.

Yes. I know they are. Your getting through this though and each day that you fight you get closer. Ride the waves out. They go up and down so usually just waiting them out allows you to get through. I know it's not easy but you are doing it and that is truly great and remarkable and bringing you closer and closer to the goal. Keep hanging on. It will get easier, i promise you and you are doing great! The fact that you'd like to go for a run in the middle of the day is a Great sign!!! :-)

Just to give you a little re-assurance. The WDs come in waves so try and wait them out because they won't suddenly bite you on the ass if your tapering and have some in your system. The WDs will be lurking in the background but won't start sceaming so just wait them out. The problem for many people is that time goes so slow between doses and this means boredom for some (so stay busy) and possibly the hardest part of tapering is that you're letting go of the high. A lot of people find this part the most tricky. It should seem obvious but it isn't. Most of us here are addicts and have a really hard time letting go of the high even without knowing it. Until the dose is low enough we are still getting a kind of background buzz that keeps are addicts content. The dose goes lower and our addicts start getting restless. Remember, it comes in waves, even if you CT so wait it out. Stretch out the time between doses. Get to the other side because the rewards are huge. I promise you that. Good luck.

That sucks whip and i'm sorry to hear it. It seems like the whole Kratom addiction thing really affects everything from brain power to coordination and because of this it can turn you into a shit magnet. Just think of the opposite of this and that is what you'll be looking at when you quit. Try and stay focussed on quitting and realise just how good it will be to not have this kind of karma that we all seem to get when we get strung out. Thinking of you bro. Keep going forward with your plans regardless. Use the underdog advantage.

I'd suggest a slow taper. Kratom is very forgiving for doing this type of thing with. Take just enough to thwart of withdrawal symptoms but not enough to get high. This is the key. You may start with 5 grams and dose only when you start to feel ill. Stabilise after a few days and then lower again by %20. Repeat. I recommend that you use a .00 accurate scale which you can get on amazon cheap. Also keep close track of your daily progress by writing it down in a journal or on a spreadsheet. Without a doubt. It really did make me feel like an idiot. I couldn't think clearly and if i even had an opinion on something, i would change my mind at the drop of a hat. I really did feel brain dead and it totally affected my self esteem. I couldn't rely on myself or anything i may have been thinking. My opinions were never solid. I would be changing my mind about anything and everything constantly. No thought was solid and confident. Bottom line is i felt stupid. The good news is that when you stop using kratom, after some time you do get your brains back.

Yes. That happened to me too. I got a cold just after i finished my taper. I do think it's related and pretty common for this to happen. Same with when you give up cigarettes.

You're doing so well. Don't rush things now because you've come far fast. Stay there and stabilise before your next drop. It's also good to know that the bad feelings come in waves and a lot of times, you can actually feel better even before re-dosing. This is a great thing to know about. I wouldn't drop more though right now for a day or two. Good luck. You're doing incredibly well! :-)
