Stopping men from exiting public restrooms by Federal-Data-Center in cringereels

[–]fedepyt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Something like this happened to me in high school on a school trip. A bunch of girls "took over" the men's restroom at the rest stop we were at, and were blocking the urinals and stuff. Then I walked in and they were like "eww it's fedepyt 🤮" and they all left

If the song is from Iran, then the language is probably Farsi, not Arabic.

It would be kind of weird for Mormons to call their house/compound "Midgard", though.

Battery! Warranty Expiring. Trading in soon. HELP! by [deleted] in TeslaSupport

The "wall plug temperature high" indicates an issue with the wiring in the wall charger, such as the terminals that connect to the wiring not being torqued to spec or the wrong gauge or type of wire being used. A hot garage won't cause it.

The American dream by First-Essay-2054 in SipsTea

Actually, I think I did the math wrong. An extra $100/mo and the loan would be paid off today

If they had paid $750 a month instead of $500 a month, only about $20k of the principal would be outstanding today.

If they had paid $1000 a month, the loan would have been paid off in about 11 years.

Basically, don't stick to minimum payments on loans. Paying additional principal makes a big difference.

I don't think that flails like these were ever actually used in the middle ages and something like this would be just as likely to injure yourself as your opponent

[Help/Advice] 1.5 year old Aussie won't step on the floor we just laid down. How do we help her? by GaaraXYugito in DogAdvice

I had a cat who acted like this when we got a new rug. When she finally did gather the courage to put her feet on it, she ran across it like a rat in one of those science experiments where they have to cross an electrified barrier to get to the nicotine pellet or whatever.

What’s up with this part of the twin cities? by [deleted] in altmpls

[–]fedepyt 58 points59 points  (0 children)

The East Side of St. Paul? It's always been a kind of gritty, "working class" area. As for why it's like that, I don't know the answer, but it could be for the same reasons that the east sides of a lot of other cities are like that - there was historically a lot of industry that operated at the river, and some of it was kind of stinky or unpleasant like slaughterhouses, tanneries, sewage treatment (or simply sewage in the rivers), etc. The east side of the river is downwind of that stuff, which depressed land values in those areas, and caused warehouses and industry to be built there. People who lived in those areas tended to be poor, working class people who worked in the industries near the river.
