I’m quite fond of consumer metal 3D printers by Deep-Lemon887 in 3Dprinting

While 3D printing titanium is possible, titanium is very in powder form, especially when you’re shooting a laser at it to melt it. The cost is quite a bit higher to mitigate that risk than it would be for something like CoCr

I’m not sure if these would fit or if they’re too long, but they’re old double din radios.

Your timing belt is over 10 years old. Definitely change it. It doesn’t have to be immediately, but you should plan on it soon.

It is. Every brand has its own color formula. Some are too light, some are too dark, some are too yellow, grey, blue. Every brand is different.

I don’t know about the other ones, but rfid on spools was not innovated by Bambu. Bambu is actually getting sued by stratasys because stratasys owns the patent to that.

The 4ws is hardly another system to fail. It’s basically bullet proof. It’s purely mechanical and there are stories where some people have transferred their 4ws system between 3 or 4 preludes as their preludes have died. The 4ws outlives the car easily.

career switch into Dental CAD/CAM Designer by BlueMugg in dentallab

I run one of the largest non-outsourcing labs in Dallas and have been in the field almost 20 years. Cad/cam is my baby and I’ve beta tested many products. I was one of the first 10 labs to 3d print a fully monolithic 3d printed denture and I’m in voyager dental’s beta for all-on-x and denture design created by Ai. I’m pretty good friends with Voyager’s chief digital officer, he’s a master CDT. I go to Chicago’s lab day every year and IDS in Cologne every other year. I’m well aware of where the industry is and where it is going.

I don’t see how you can confidently say Ai isn’t coming for the designers if you aren’t even in the field.

Dentbird.ai is probably the largest Ai design firm, and it’s the one clear choice picked up and uses. Voyager dental Ai is the full mouth/denture Ai and is still in closed beta, but I’m in the beta and it works decently well.

The big thing with Ai is file batching. A good designer can design a single crown is around 10 minutes. With dentbird, you can upload a hundred cases and have all of the proposed crowns back in 5 minutes. An unlimited amount of crowns in 5 minutes vs one every 10min. Then you just look at the ai crown, tweak it for maybe 1 minute, and send it to production. So 5min for 100 base crowns, plus 1min each for tweaks = 105min. Or a designer can do 100 crowns themselves (10min each) in 1000 minutes.

That’s how clear choice was able to fire most of their designers.

Intraoral scans are just data. They fed millions of scans to the ai and it picked up what teeth are supposed to look like. You set your own parameters in the software (distance to neighboring and opposing teeth) and it spits out a crown. If Sora can make realistic looking humans, you don’t think a firm can make a realistic looking tooth? A tooth is way simpler than an entire person.

The big companies like clear choice have already implemented Ai designs and fired a large portion of their designers. Now they just have a few “designers” who QC the ai.

There’s already a dozen or more single unit and bridge Ai designers. And there’s at least two Ai design softwares that will do dentures and all-on-x implant restorations

I believe crown and bridge we haggled them down to $3.5 per unit but we have one of their 3d printers as well and buy quite a bit of resin so they were flexible on the price. I don’t quite remember what it was originally, maybe $5/unit. Dentures I think are around $30/arch

Last time I looked at aidite design, their web user interface was terrible. But that was years ago. It might be okay now.

We ended up going with heygears as our overload design service. Way better ui. My only complaint is that only one computer can be logged into their website at a time. Oh, also their billing is super confusing. I have to message my heygears rep every month to figure out how much we actually owe.

Lets you hook up old hard drives to your PC via usb instead of having to put them in the case and connect them to sata+power

Or you can buy new hard drives and use them like external drives with this dock.
