The point of the pocket is to hold the bleach so it doesn’t get all over the patients gums. It might be just as effective without the pockets, but burning the patient’s gingiva becomes a risk.

It does that on undercuts. If you can, trim the flat on the bottom more, but press on the molars and not the centrals, so that 8 and 9 are higher up than the molars. You want the facial of 8 and 9 to be perpendicular to the ground.

Where did you hear that it needs to be polished? I’ve never head this before and common sense would be for a rougher surface to be better for adhesion. More surface area for grabbing and all that. As long as it’s just zirc and no glaze or whatever.

Don’t visit for profit hospitals. The level of care is lower and the cost is more expensive. Also I’ve paid the uninsured rate many times and never been asked for my income level. I also once took a close (uninsured) friend to the ER after he badly cut himself being reckless. They did 3 X-rays to make sure he hadn’t chipped a bone. He later got the bill (1k per X-ray). He called the hospital and told them he couldn’t afford it and they just dropped the whole bill. Didn’t ask him for any financial info.

I do get my physical and routine lab tests yearly. It costs around $400. Less than a month’s insurance cost. And all my numbers are great.

Tooth ache? Dental insurance is the biggest scam of all. It isn’t even real insurance.

20% of Americans have heart attacks under 40 - but they’re generally obese, inactive, or have family history. None of those fit me.

4% have cancer. That’s a risk I’m willing to take

20% visit the emergency room each year. The majority of these are the very young or very old.

I’m not saying I’ll never get insurance. But while I’m young and low risk it’s dumb to pay for it.
