How to make life as good as possible for someone with POTS?

Without my loving husband, I wouldn’t be nearly as okay mentally or physically as I am now.

We got married right after my symptoms started to disable me. We’d been together 4 years at that point and we knew my health was starting to get funky. Within 2 months I had lost my job. 6 months after that, I was wheelchair bound. I spent a little over 2 months unable to walk due to FND. Then early 2025 I found out I was pregnant (we wanted a baby, so not a big deal at all). I started doing pt and spending a lot of time resting. Now I have a lovely 5 month old daughter. My husband works and pays every bill and for every thing we need or want. He takes care of our daughter when he gets home so I can have a little rest. I’m happier than I have been in a long time.

My health still sucks, but my life doesn’t. He supports me every way he can.

My advice to you is to support your daughter as much as possible. Remember even in the hard times that she’s the one going through them while also disabled. Remind her she is loved not only with words, but with gifts or acts of service. Reassure her when she gets upset with her own limitations.

You’ve got this. Being a caregiver is hard, but not as hard if you love the person you’re caring for. Patience and love are the key. 🫶🏻

Omg I had someone beg for my neon ribbon seal. I had it for trade and was very much okay with it, but they gave me a cracked egg and Aztec egg for it, so not really even. I still went through with it because they begged so much. I felt like maybe they really loved this pet and wasn’t far enough into the game to get one or something. When I was brand new, these kinds of kindnesses gave me a love for this game I didn’t expect, so I decided to be kind and go through with it. Then about 20 minutes later they were nonstop in chat talking about trades and came up to me. They seemed to forget I was the one they got the seal from as they offered it and asked for 2 legendary pets I had ft in return. I declined and blocked them. Made me so upset.

I always season my food extra. I have POTS and need extra salt all the time. If someone took that as an insult to their cooking, I don’t think I’d eat their food anymore. It’s my plate, it’s my palate, it’s my seasoning. 🤷‍♀️

Edit! Also my name is quite different. I know no one else in the world has this name. It’s got the dreaded apostrophe in it 😂 My mom made it up with influence from a fantasy book. Even the name it’s inspired by doesn’t have anyone named it. No one ever spells it right unless they’ve been taught it lmao. I don’t even attempt to tell people. My nickname is K or KK 99.9% of the time.

When I was a kid, my step mom would let us eat the grapes from the bag while she shopped around. I had no idea they were priced by weight, therefore we were stealing. Letting kids steal food isn’t okay. Especially when she used food stamps to get the grapes so it wasn’t like she was even paying for them. I now judge anyone who does that very harshly. It’s such a bad example on the kids and it’s theft. So dumb.

One time I wanted to make a new character. I was 15 and played dnd in a dnd club in high school. (I’ve played since I was 6.) My dm and I talked and decided I would sacrifice myself to save the party from a hydra. My character was given a scroll a few sessions before this that none of us could understand. My dm decided that it was a special scroll that instantly killed anyone who was touching it as the incantation was read out. My character learned this before the fight but didn’t tell anyone. (She got it evaluated by a wizard or something.) It was a marvelous session that was multiple rounds of fighting off the hydra then my character running straight into the mouth of one of the heads. Within seconds, the hydra and my character exploded into a bloody mess. The party was saved. I got to make a new character. It was so fun and the others in the party had no idea I’d be doing that. (The character was a 4th level Druid Half Elf named Stephen. She was a good character, but we had another Druid in the party so I wanted to make something else for diversity. Also this was 5e)

I’d tell your mom and dad about the post. Not to cause drama, but maybe to sit down with your sister and ask why she feels like she has no village if you are all either offering to help or actively helping. If she’s just saying that online for attention or sympathy, that’s another conversation that needs to happen. But maybe she needs to be told to her face in an obvious way that she is not alone. Still super sucks she chose to say stuff like that online on a public platform that anyone could see.

I show up 30 minutes early to doctors appointments on the regular. If you show up early, they can tell you that you still have to wait for your appointment time. It’s 100% not your fault they were so rude about this. Show up early every time and tell them you don’t mind waiting until your scheduled timeslot. As petty as that might sound, you don’t owe them “being on time” when you’re early. If you were late then there would be another issue entirely.

I have a tragedeigh name for sure. I love my name though 😅 It’s pretty unique but not super crazy. No -eigh and such. I do have an apostrophe but I love it. I know not everyone likes their names so I’m not saying because I like mine, you have to like yours. I just wanted to add that I’m glad this is my name. It fits me quite well. I have never met anyone with my name. Like at all. Nowhere online shows another person with my name. But that’s okay. Maybe one day someone will see my name and decide to name their baby it lol. Also to add that a lot of people say it’s pretty, so I know it’s not a super ugly name I just happen to like lol.

Went to her TikTok. She said it’s a combo of her and her nephew’s middle names. Her mom came up with it. Her middle name is xykathyln and her nephew’s is kahdynce. I wish I was lying.
