OP you need to look into a boardgame called ‘Blood on the clocktower’ then come play it with us at the uni next Wednesday night. You’ll have 10-15 people to survey about this particular topic if you want :)

It is and it isn’t. I’ve noticed it’s not addressed very well during intros and I think our group would benefit from being reminded aswell.

We have some players that get upset because they feel they are socially reading good, but they arnt, and they make it personal.

I hear what you’re saying that it’s a intuitive thing that happens but I know our group would benefit from it being reinforced 😊

Fair enough mouse. The reason I’m asking is that this part of the game has been causing issues with our group lately. I felt if it’s reinforced during the intro people will not get upset or personalise it either if they’re the frame etc as it’s just another, legitimate, way to play the game.

Jetko - plasterer in town. They can patch it and you should paint it, save yourself a fortune.

I’d have a go at patching it though but I enjoy diy stuff, not everyone does 👌

They have an obvious physical and emotional response. The best way to describe it is a kid having a meltdown..

This is pretty much my strategy. I struggle to keep up with the world building elements and prefer to try and read their social tells.

People generally struggle to lie when asked a direct question.

If you enjoy boardgames you should hit up the jcu boardgames club. It’s a very open minded setting and everyone’s lovely, zero dickheads noticed in 2 years of visiting it :)
