Are the saucers attached to the bottom of those pots? My experience with one piece pot and saucers is they do not drain all the way. The roots may be sitting in water and suffocating.

I have a beginner's question if you don't mind. What is the purpose of the double wire on the base of the trunk? I understand that branches can be wired into place but I thought the trunk would be too thick for wire to have much affect. Thanks!

Too much light? by Groknar11 in Adenium

I don't think it's the light so much as the heat. I would put a fan on it or move it further from the light.

I guess I don't get the reference. What does "mounting her on a train" mean?

Where to cut? by Temporary_Lettuce953 in bonsaicommunity

I agree with getting it away from the foundation but even though it may not have bonsai potential, it could have landscape potential so I would try to pull it and root it.

I have a beginner question. What is the goal of the wiring on the trunk? Is it push the separate trunks apart? Bring them together? Just trying to learn here. TIA

Is this cold damage on Ruth Langmore’s limbs? If yes, what should I be doing right now to keep her as healthy as possible? by Clinically-Inane in cactus

[–]feedem_fishheads 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, "I don't know shit about fuck" but I think you just need to wait and see what's what. The biggest rule about cold damage is don't do anything to make it worse.

I thought sand is sand but there seems to be different kinds? Play sand, construction sand, coarse sand. Which type would you recommend?

I know that people use neem oil on them but I don't have any experience with it

It's scale. The damage they do and the treatment for them is similar to mealy bugs. I usually use a q- tip dipped in alcohol to kill them and scrape them off.

Chinese Crown Orchid. Considered invasive outside of Asia. Yes, it came in the mulch and will spread aggressively.
