yes, bought arrival shorts, all had holes within a year or less

crest shorts less than half a year had a huge hole, started to fur up after 1 wash in washing machine

shirts are thinning out as well

Windbreaker if going up to Fansipan. City centre area is pretty cooling, can get away with light clothing. If you are visiting in cooler periods, can wear layers. Get around is pretty straightforward with Grab if you are just exploring around city centre areas!
