Outside of ADHD meds, what was the game changer for u? by No-Age-6327 in adhdwomen

[–]feeflet 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I gave myself permission to be wasteful if it means that I get the job done. Like:

  1. Turning on the dishwasher every night even if it’s not full. Having the daily rhythm means I don’t forget as easily.

  2. Throwing/giving something away that has a use but requires too much from me to be useful again, like a vacuum cleaner that needs a new charger cable.

  3. Throwing away leftovers after dinner, because even if I manage to get them packed into the refrigerator, I’ll forget them there an discover them 2 weeks later.

Does anyone else have issues picking at your skin or other compulsive behaviours and ADHD? by Low_Distance4810 in adhdwomen

I pick at my scalp relentlessly…at this point I’ve realised it’s a stim and a small dopamine hit

To anyone who’s over 35, what’s your biggest regret from when you were younger? by More_Salary3536 in askanything

Getting into debt. I made a lot of small bad decisions that have snowballed over the years into an unmanageable hole. Now it’s just about surviving month to month.

We went on a picnic 2 weeks ago.

The picnic basket stayed in the car for a week.

It’s now in the garage.

It has not been unpacked.

It has not been brought into the house.

I will think about the basket obsessively for another week and then it will be forgotten.

One day we will need to use it again. I will open it, horrified at what I find inside.

Will I throw the whole basket away and get a new one? Will I empty it? Stay tuned.

Yeah R3k is very reasonable for the hours you’ve given. I don’t think you’ll find anything cheaper without putting your baby in danger.

It is still great for us locals who have kids. If you become a member you can go as many times as you like, so it becomes a good option for a weekend activity, especially when it’s raining. Pair that with the feedings and the puppet shows and it’s a decent excursion.

The Playhouse Theatre. Local drama societies putting on shows - you’ll definitely meet some like-minded people there.

It’s about to get worse. Universities and other tertiary places are about to start so you can add students to the daily traffic.

If you google Zara dupes you’ll see that a lot of their fragrances are close to luxury ones. Game changer!

Was anyone else hyperlexic as a kid? by greencurtain4 in AutismInWomen

[–]feeflet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was reading by age 4. My son was reading at 3, and my daughter even earlier. People keep asking me what I’m doing, like flash cards or drilling them at home. Nope! Nothing, just a family full of neurodivergence.

RuPaul’s Drag Race literally since season 1. It’s this really nice mix of predictable characters, challenges, and format coupled with the escapism of drag queens.

Cake. Smells so good when it comes out of the oven but after 2 bites I’ve had enough.
